The GS-D2s look meaner (in my opinion) but I think the GS-D3s are supposed to be even better performing than the 2s !!!
No, Ive not sorted the knocking noise yet... Havent fancied getting...
Err... thanks captain, Ill feel so much safer driving around in my Mk1 172 now(complete with death-bringer alloy bonnet) ;). Anyway, I do look like a racing snake (being green and shedding my skin every few months) so I suppose its the ideal mod? :p
Matt
VR6Man!
I have just paid £164.40 for 4 brand new "Goodyear EAGLE F1 GSD-3" tyres in 195/50 R15V from http://www.mytyres.netwww.mytyres.net, delivered to my door. These tyres are usually quite a bit more expensive than the Toyos and (as Nick said) are supposed to be in a different league in wet...

I remember replying to someone elses post about this over a year ago - I tried finding it but it appears to be somewhere in the big 1274 page long thread that weve got titled "BenR question for ya?" (A bug methinks!)
A lot of people suffered from it, but it only seemed to be a problem...
Well, Ill answer you then m8... No. Ive no idea where to get it from, and yes I did see it at the time - I seem to remember that the Clio won reasonably convincingly even though it wasnt being driven as well as the Saxo (I think Tiff was driving the Saxo and Vicki the Clio) - Although all of...

Hmmm... It would appear that I am an arse!... :( On http://www.MyTyres.netwww.MyTyres.net there is a button at the bottom of the tyre list that says "Search Further" which I didnt see last night. They definitely do sell Eagle F1s in 195/50/R15 and they are £41.10 each. Sorry I was such a spanner...

Thanks guys, if anyone knows anywhere else cheap to buy tyres from then please let me know!:)
BTW, Ive e-mailed the http://www.MyTyres.netwww.MyTyres.net place to ask why they dont list Toyo Proxes or Goodyear Eagle F1s in 195/50/R15 anymore...

Looking to replace my Michelin Pilot SXs with something tasty, and I decided to go for Toyo Proxes from http://www.MyTyres.netwww.MyTyres.net as they were incredibly cheap (about £30 each). But then they stopped selling them... Pants! Sooo.... Ive been looking at getting some Eagle F1s which Ive...

Youre just jealous of my lightweight bonnet Rhys! ;)
Ooohh, and carrying on from Simons post, why not go shaven down there too? Got to save a few precious grams!?! :D
I think I remember reading that someone on the French ClioRS site replaced their Mk1 172 front seats with bucket jobbies as...
Hmmm... realised I was a bit dumb (to say the least) but just couldnt stop grinning afterwards... Think Id better leave the heroic cornering for the track!
... I think I would have just crashed it!
I was feeling up for a thrash earlier and decided to go for a run around some local country roads with loads of tight bends and nasty cambers... Anyhow, approaching a tight left hander I stamped on the (now rather hot!) brakes and brushed off quite a...

I wasnt thinking of a de-cat for performance reasons, I just got worried when I took some photos of my cat for mailto:M@thew">M@thew the other day and it came out as two rusty boxes under the car!!! I think its days are numbered... :( Obviously a de-cat will be much cheaper than a new twin-cat...
Cupsize,
"Matt - I started on a 1.2 8V and they are slow - end of story - its a fact" - I agree that 1.2 8V are slow. I had a loaner for a week and can confirm it was the most god-awful slow piece of metal Ive ever driven. No arguments there... But we were all talking about the 1.2 16V - a...
