Exhaust - Personally, Hayward & Scott.
Air Filter - Green Cotton Filter replacement or Viper.
ECU - Dastek chip, ive heard is the best to go with other mods.
*edit* Oh and Welcome to Cliosport! :D
We put a JL W3 v2 Sub behind the drivers seat in our 2 seater. A custom box was made(triangle shape), covered and slotted into place. The amps went in the front boot. Looks and sounds excellent. Driver gets a nice punch in the back from the bass line. defo worth doing.
The sunroof leaked and from the heavy rain, somehow a lot of the water seaped through the car, down into the footwells. So Yes, it is actually that wet.
Fired up my valver for the first time in a 5 months. Beside 3 inch deep water sat in the footwells, mould growing on the dash, seat belts and everywhere, stench of mouldy water, theres this horrible noise coming from the engine.
It sounds like its coming from the top of the head, a...
Bugga. :cry:Unlucky mate. Mine cost me £250, parts and fitted. But that was a "cash job" at a local garage. Appartently its a good idea to fit the uprated R5 Race clutchs. But that may be complete rollox tho, cant remember! :D
Only thing i thinks missing from the 172 is an exhaust. It needs something suttle like the rest of the body styling which IMO is perfectly formed. I dont think anything needs to be added. Altho a lil bont vent/scoop would have been nice.
whenever anyone gets new tyres...they always rant about how good they are...probably becuase theyve been driving on balds for a few weeks before. lol.
Dog...just get the Rainsports.
LOL. Proxies suck in the wet. Rainsports are THE wet tyre.
Apparently the best way to bed in...is to get em fitted to the back...do 200/250 miles with them on the back then swap em to the front. Last longer that way.
I bedded mine wrong..which is why im going to get another set...
My gearbox clunk cant keep up with the high response of the engine now its nice and dence. I can feel the engine jump into life as soon as i blip the throttle. Much faster than it normally does, at lot harder too, but i have to wait for the clunk...before the power gets laid down. annoying. -3...
^^^True.
If you dont tell them you know whats wrong, they use their favourite saying..."Fault not found".
I always try find out whats wrong on here first, load myself up with info/ammo, then burst into Reno shooting off my load. Most effective way me thinks.
heh.
Seriously, ive had no major problems with mine, and ive owned it since september!:o Shock Horror.
But i have done 9500miles...and shes running fine. Except for a few knocks and rattles, but its a reno and it also has something called a Warrenty. Which means when something does go...
Contis were alright, once half the tread was gone they were dangerous in the wet but ok in the dry. Personally i wouldnt buy them again.
For my second set, seeing as Winter and Rain is setting in, i went for uniroyal rainsports. sh*t hot tyres. never felt braking so sharp in the wet, corners...
Rage Logic do an excellent TC unit. only weights 500g. However im sick of losing grip form one wheel. Slows you right down. Need power flowing through both wheels for more Traction & better Grip. And then perhaps add launch control for those ultimate launches.
