Noticed a slight problem with my expansion tank the other day.
As you can see there's a circular moulded plastic bit on the top part below the cap.
The problem is that there's a very slight hole in it, just at the top left of the circle.
After it was warm and I popped the bonnet you...
I can do 14mpg on track and 45mpg on the m/way (very constant 60mph!)
Average is about 32mpg mostly town driving, little m/way action and A road thrashing.....
I'd put the 2's on the front and the 3's on the back.
Got the 3's all round on my valver and they are awesome! 2's are very good from everything I've read so I wouldn't be too worried.....
Where is the relay for them?
I suppose you could try and sound deaden it.
Happens on my g/f's new clio, the only part of her car that's louder than my valver's lol!
It's amazing how high you can get your MGP if you really stick to 55-60mph.
I can do 45mpg in my mod'd valver and 60+mpg in the girlfriends 1.2 16v at those speeds....
you gotta give it a good while to the exhaust to warm up properly, which doesn't take too long in this weather.
and then exactly as ben said, it'll pop all day long lol!
Once the engine warms up properly the 'stat will be fully open. Doesn't matter if it's a low temp one or an OE one, if you booting it or sitting in traffic both will behave exactly the same.
It's a bit more costly option but one of the best things you can do to a valver engine is fit an oil...
No point in having one!
The most useless 'mod' ever imo......
It only causes the engine to take longer to fully warm up, and in no way whatsoever helps cool it any better than a normal 'stat when it fully opens.

Although the picture is a valver, it is listed under clio 2
There a f**kin pain in the arse to fit though, well was on my valver.....
Discs are fine, and there not new either.
It's just passed an MOT no problems too.
So you think it's because it's a new column I notice it now, rather than the new column then....
The saga continues lol!
Ok, I had a new steering column put on which elliminated any play in the steering wheel.
But now, as you get to about 60mph, the steering wheel starts to wobble a little, and the progressively gets worse. I can't do more than about 85mph cos it's shaking that much!
I've had the wheels...
Are they made out of gold or something lol?
Was in Trafford Centre on Wednesday and the mrs spotted one in a shop window with a £3000+ price tag!
Surely no phone can be worth that much......
Tom
Very nice mate, who's is the naples valver near the left corner lol ;)
I should have sent you one of my on-track pics....
Already set as my background btw! :approve:
Picked my valver up today after having a new steering column fitted.
I decided against getting it welded and get it done properly and all I can say is wow lol!
The steering really is much much better, no play in it at all now. Well worth it in my opinion.
Anyway, the reason for the...
