Thanks i digested all that suprisingly easily although it seams a bit biased. I take it the Renault vesion is simmilar to the original toyota vvt but with more aggressive cams? Who pioneered it then if not honda and who did renault steel it from or did they divelop it in house?
I know that instead of changing the valve timing like the Vtec the renault version changes the cam profile at low revs to improve idle but how is this done?
i heard sometime this week which is still better than waiting for everyones orders at least they are in progress. Any ideas/views on fitment where are you locating the bell mouth intake. Im pissed off its red its gonna look sh*t against my green paint work, i might get it powder coated green ;)
sounds like you have a bad un, take it back.
I dont know why but we had 2No different 172s. First one was a Phase2 02plate Import which seemed like a slug so we took it back. The next one and current model was a mk1 172 exclusive 02plate. This is a totally different kettle of fish very rapid...
My mk1 172 came fitted with mitchelin pilot sx and these tyres are superb and have lasted ages although the fronts are nearly down to the indicator.
I think if i had a lesser tyre i would have definatly been in a ditch by now. I can only imagine the exaltos will be even better. Although i...
what?
Right whoevers holding it up get your order placed you know the score!
IMHO you shouldnt have put ya name down if you dont have the funds
especially seeing as it has an effect on other people.
http://www.mytyres.netwww.mytyres.net just put in the width, profile rolling diameter and the rating which shoul be V (140mph) I dont think the 172 cup had stiffened tyre walls like the 182cup so mitchelin pilots should be ok then get them fitted locally.
I need a quick response so please dont move the topic mods!
OK im thinking of ordering these for my valver (standard alloys)
are they any good or would toyos be a better buy they have to be sub £40

I think it looks well nice bit like the metalic sony ericson badge on my new phone. I think you have to have a high IQ to like the colour green on a car its an aquired taste.
Its even got a girls name for f**k sake. Must admit though the mk1 valvers with flared arches look more muscular than the new wave of people carrier style hot hatches, and imho better than the vts/106
It could be worse than that, the level will always read a certain amount as the inlet aperture from the header tank is raised slightly. It could be very low. I would fill it up quick and run it to get the air out and then fill it again to the max level.
Simple answer buy the smaller filter the longer one is the incorrect part anyway just has the same part No. Take your old filter along to the parts dept/shop while the sump is draining oil. By the time you get back with the right one it should be empty!
