as has been said, thank god someone has finally just done it to check. seems the 90's wont really fit so i was wrong :)
Have you gone for these spacers? http://www.jenvey.co.uk/home/accessories/adaptors-and-spacers/jenvey-dynamics/spacer-sf-22-5deg-bend-45mm-scs45-22-5
If so i assume youre...
Lack of logic or understanding basic maths? Where am I missing basic maths?
All you're saying is 'it doesn't look like it will fit so I don't believe you ner ner'.
Let's apply some of that common sense you're fond of. 120s on DTH fits if you cut the bonnets inner skin, yet you think 90s...
Has anyone ACTUALLY tried the DTH with 90's and found it to not fit? As im told they fit without cutting, and if with cutting 120's fit on DTH's im inclined to believe the 90's fit fine.
bearing in mind Phil felt he needed to cut the bonnet for sf with 120's to fit properly (which is shorter...
Only when you admit that the DTH kit is not worse than the sf kit :p :p
Just realised the spacers will add length as well so probably looking at nearer 310mm total on my setup - cannot wait :D :D
should be no worse/better than any other 120's with a backingplate and filter surely? think it might be a trick of the eye with the photo.
The photo is really handy though thanks Phil :) ive been trying to find some pics of his setup but never managed to find them. With some angled spacers...
you sure you cant fit 90's on the ktec kit without chopping the bonnet? I think you will find you can ;) and as i say im under the impression 120's will fit with cutting the bonnet.
and didnt you cut your bonnet for 120's on the sf kit or was it someone else? and do you reckon 160's would fit...
That I dont know, and fair point. All i know is that 90's with a proper filter with proper clearence fit on a phase 2 no problem, and if youre willing to hack away the inner skin of the bonnet (which people do/have done) then apparently 120's fit with a proper filter as iceman? did it on his...
ktec kit with 90's is 270mm total (trumpet to head) :)
I measured mine with 60's at 240mm.
So, all of the "dont get the ktec kit, get the 'proper/generic' ones with 120's" belly aching is actually a load of s**t
Why doesnt anything i have written make any sense?
Generic bodies are the universal ones that mount to a relevant manifold to bridge the gap from engine to universal bodies.
the upwards angle of the ktec bodies potentially gives more scope for length with a set of angled spacers before...
If the ktec kit on 90s is the same length as generic on 120s then it will make no difference? If anything the angle of the ktec kit gives greater scope for length in a similar way to the pure Motorsport inlet.
Anyone got some of the generic ones?
I know it gets asked ALLL the time but i cant find anything on a search :(
Got my bimarco futura in the clio on an omp subframe and its REALLY far forwards, i feel like im wrapped round the steering wheel. How has everyone else gotten around this issue?
