Second hand with good condition bushes, ball joints on the car are only 5k old, I assume I just undo the two ball joints bolts rather than the single one to the hub?
And cheers guys, ill crack on tomorrow and see if somewhere local can squeeze me in for alignment.
Hi,
Cup lower arms arrived today but im having a nightmare week and im working all weekend, but have a track day at donington on Monday id like them fitted for in an ideal world.
How easy is it to do? Ive tried searching for a guide on here but havent found one. Just trying to work out if its...
Hhhmmm, sure I said above that there's no standing on brakes involved........oh look I did!
I thought you were supposed to be bright? Don't have to constantly stand on brakes for there to be a build up of heat in them. And once enough heat is generated, the pads smoke.
I think 'dickhead' and 'tit' are a bit strong boys. Grow up.
Living on the edge of the north Yorkshire moors means lots of access to hilly, twisty open roads, and bends and hills work brakes hard. I know my driving style and the roads I play on works brakes hard so I make sure I have the best...
Altogether depends how hard you use the brakes - I for example have had the 1155's smoking just on the road so i suspect 1144's would have given up.
Also many people wont want to change brake pads for the odd trackday but also wont want to kill their road pads at said trackday so opt to put up...
Mine squeal like a horny pig.
I get over the embarrassment safe in the knowledge of that packages truly epic performance!
Even smoking away and stinking after over an hour on track they did not fade at all! fantastic :)
edit: cant help with the surface area though as im a trackday and over...
A small update:
Bought some 195/50 595 rs-r's to replace the utterly awful budgets that were on the wheels. Already the car feels less crashy, sharper turn in and bags more grip :D Not that any of that is a surprise mind.......
Sadly with the smaller profile tyre i can now smuggle families in...
Just had a quick look on amazon and there are loads of this type of cup holder.
This one looks closest to mine http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B008IDP7FO/?tag=cliospnet01-21
Those arrow rods look so much better than the PEC rods. Better finish on the bearing face and that sharp edge where the bolt head meets the cap is a failure waiting to happen!!
I'm up for this potentially, would come down to cost at the end of the day
And how you would stop cheats as people already saying they're going to cheat is off putting
I actually don't know where its from, I can try find a brand etc on it :)
A friends skyline came with two in years ago and I've hung onto them since as he didn't want them
And cheers :)
Yeah but its terrible! Out of reach, tall cans don't fit, narrow cans fall over, my travel mug gets stuck :(
Apparently there's more room on a cup.....but on a normal Clio the std cup holders are useless so its become my loose change and immoboliser dongle bin :D
This morning I road tested the most important thing ive done to the Clio
A working cup holder! I cant be without my morning coffee (or any other caffeinated product)!!
Because i want to maintain mpg computer etc and not have Engine warning lights up but am happy if the already shocking clio idle is a little worse because i dont leave it idling all the time?
id hardly say im compromising refinement - more youre clutching at straws :p
i was aware of all of that (hence the 'lol' after my sarcastic remark) but its not an issue for me as im not a fan of leaving it idling for long periods and my commute to work doesnt tend to go through major traffic where ill be idling for long periods.
The clio is my daily btw, as the mrs...
Ive always paid by the hour for mapping - the cost of a reflash of a generic map includes developmental costs etc. and i assume as its the case with others an element of a warranty with it and time fixing issues that could arise
everytime someone mentions a cost inc. mapping on a Gen90 the price goes up lol!!
Started at £1500 and now were up to £1800.........
With a good'ish base map there wont need to be anywhere near as much mapping time as rather than mapping from scratch youre just refining the map.
edit: not...
