They arent £140 if people are interested in the group buy........which between here and the wanted section there seems to be five people wanting 120's now?
Yes there is the whole parrel vs tapered argument but emerald saw no gain with tapered on clios and 120mm parallels are much better than...
with 120mm trumpets or the kit ones?
Id be interested to see the length difference between the ktec ones and the universal ones on a clio manifold.
from a quick look the ketc ones with 90's are the same length as the universal ones with 120's so the kit is just as good, if thats the case. if...
I'm looking to angle them down and ram the filter up against the grill.
The angle of the ktec bodies should actually help get more length when the trumpets are angled down
Im not throwing around quotes off of the internet though. Im going off of people who were there and saw the testing telling me it makes no real world difference. and the development of the adjustable ones came after seeing that tapered trumpets dont add anything - so i doubt its all made up to...
Because its been proven that tapered trumpets doesnt add anything and after that a bit of spun ally with a flared/rolled end is just that?
I agree with not scrimping but theres times when you get what you pay for and theres times where a bit of common sense can save you quite a bit of...
they are spun alloy :) delivery was £7 so £67 delivered for four. Lead time is 15 days from having 5 people so if youre in a rush we might not get enough in time :(
Back onto where to get 120mm trumpets ive emailed this guy http://danstengineering.co.uk/ to try and persuade him to get some 120's made up. His 90's are only £15 each.
Would many others be interested if he needs a group of people?
Danny was there for the testing :)
AFAIK he just doesn't like emerald ECU's
And as per emeralds testing there is no benefit to tapered trumpets, length is all that matters
My first Ring lap i was like 'OMG this is nothing like Forza!!' but on the second lap once the overall shock had worn off it all came back and i felt i knew what corners were coming really well thanks to Forza - its a good tool for learning 'left, right, long right, left' etc and then build on...
well, after the mrs cancelling giving blood last night in order to drive me to pick up a car for the weekend, the exhaust arrived this morning from ktec, despite them saying that it would be middle of next week at the earliest.
Whilst grateful, im still miffed. can they get anything right?!
HAHA its snapped at the cat flange! id get pulled on the way lol
Might have an option of a car to borrow whilst ktec sort their s**t out.
Take it no one knows of anywhere else to get an exhaust quick :(
NEED my car back on the road before friday evening as the mrs is unavailable to give me a lift.
The exhaust snapped on friday and ive spent since then dealing with ktec's lack of customer service. Had renparts as a backup option as they said an exhaust on next day delivery was no problem but...
Just in reference to this Ive just had to remove a set of RSR's as the front outside tyre wore from new to the wear markers at donington. the others havent worn that much but havent faired well :(
From speaking to places about them it seems there are two factories producing RSR's and one...
Though I've had 1155s smoking on track I have yet to suffer any fade or boiling with super blue fluid and pattern discs.
30min sessions at donington where I was only coming in as Shite rsr's had gone off and I was cooking.
Don't really see all this ducting, or 4 pot kits as necessary?
UPDATE TIME :D
Was at Donington yesterday and what a day! Forecast leading up to the day wasnt good but luckily we only had a couple of showers which didnt ruin the day as it only showered when we were in the pits on a cool down.
I had fitted camber bolts and set them to max to try and...
