Agreed the top gear is daft, BUT I WISH I'd had one of these late last night when I made a ten mile bumpy & narrow cross country dash to pick someone up
I still covered the B road 10 miles in 10 mins dead, but 70 in 3rd don't sound the same in a D :-(
^ ^ Ditto, I ragged it cross county last night and the "grip" is superb, but it did bounce a lot (nearly lost it once) on really really uneven subsided road on a bend
I love 17's, but 16" Trophy or 172 cup stylee are best l reckon
This morning 8ish on A43 Kettering to Northampton (I was going onther way)
OV05: Black 182 on anthracite trophy wheels - NICE!
S888: Lightly modded Blue Cup - SUPERB
YH07: 197 in silver, but looked a bit bronze - sorry not as nice as the '56' plate Gordini Blue 197 I see every morning...
A45 Brackmills, Northampton 6pm last Thursday
YH54: COOL Blue Cup - I tooted twice, but you twice, but you ignored me :-(
V128: Grren 172/182 - only saw back - not seen green before!?
^ ^ If that was a Main dealer, you'd have had new drive shafts, wheel bearing, track rods ends, a bill for £300 ...... and the nuts would still be loose
I assume you've actually got a Mark 3 (2006 on?)
A 182 'lookalike' is possible on a Mark 2 (like mine) 2001 - 2005 car easily for about 2K.........
but 197 is NOT easy...............
seach on web - 197 lookalike kits are about (K-tec?), but a 'full authentic makeover' with rear...
^ ^
thought you paid 7K?
just trade it in - less than 3K loss in 3 years IS GOOD however bad it feels
mine's lost about £5K in 4 years and I got it WELL UNDER book price new
posh motor - Fiesta Ghia with a bit of style!
Having said that, don't pay much - anything French over 10 years old (irrespective of spec.) unless very very collectable is usually worth less than a grand even if MINT and low mileage
DEFO R26!
they both do 'nutter', but the R26 has that superb dual ability to potter around on the diesel-like torque without stirring the box
try both at 50 in 6th and see what happens when you stick your foot down!
