yeah a few bits of dust have fallen onto it over night so i will give it a gentle rub over with a spot of wet wet&dry :)
kinda scared of doing the lacquer tho
1 can should be fine
ive used - 1 primer, 1 paint & 1 lacquer
and 2 sheets of wet&dry - 1x800 + 1x1500
and thats for a AX GT spoiler which is suprisingly quite big to paint as its double sided and has nasty curved edges which were a pain
planning on trying to do my bits on my clio sometime
quality is poor to say the least.......
at least i dont have to worry about blanking out the number plate! lol
got some rather odd looks as i fumbled about with my phone whilst stopped in the road lol
oook ive been following the advice on the articles section of cliosport.net and so far (after many panics and worrying) ive put the paint on so now just waiting over night for the paint to dry before i can lacquer.
my question is. do i wet & dry 1500 it before i lacquer it? or just lacquer it...
yeah what exhaust is it?
i know the ktec ones have the adjustable 'band' around the exhaust which can be bent in order to hold it at different heights.....
i take back what i previously said....... i managed to get it right on the final coat of paint. now (apart from a few minor runs in the paint) it looks pretty good.
just gotta laquer it tomorrow
trying to do my gfs spoiler as we speak.
not going well tbh.... but a learning experience and £20 isnt a big deal if its total crap in the end
think ill just take it to a bodyshop and ask them to re-do it
parked in Avon street car park tonight about 8:05pm
spotted the nose of a clio poking out from a mile away (i should get a life..... lol) and had to go round again so i could get a pic of ur car (on my phone) so may upload later :)
