Well i havent heard of them being any better than the F1s or SportContacts but i doubt theyre bad. There is also the slightly track focused P-Zero Corsa, summer only.

No doubt we would, to the dismay of original Williams owners im sure!
Does Renault make the F1 engines in-house? Currently we could have a Clio 172 Mild Seven..or maybe a Clio 172 Elf..! lol.
Shame Alonso doesnt have a more alluring name, a Clio 172 Schumacher would certainly be more...
Anyone know any specific details about the new Micras platform, suspension design etc.?
The problem is the Micra and Clio start off around £7k. So even your £15k hot hatch is based on a £7k car so there is a lot of compromise there. If the Micra platform is barely different to the current...
Everything in that workshop is gash. What have they done to that Porsche?
Whats being done to your car then Powelly, just a respray or body modifications too?

I guess the best RPM to launch is a bit above where maximum torque is, a bit above so you dont bog down.
I would probably take Jillys advice though. About a year ago i got beaten soundly off of the lights by a girl (with another girl passenger) in their old and battered Max Power Escort...
I think i only got about 8k miles out of my original Continental PremiumContacts. Though they were subject to some abuse. When i swapped to SportContacts i got about 20k out of them! Dont know why, youd presume the performance tyres would be softer.

Yeah the SL320 is no where near top of the pile..
I agree with what other people have been saying, its old, dated and completely overshadowed by the new SL. You will indeed look like a pikey hoping to look rich. With the V6 you will be respected for making an original choice.

172, no doubt. It would be very hard to make it as fast in a straight line and it would cost a bit more money on top of simply lowering it to get it set up to be as fun/rewarding to drive opposed to just being able to corner as fast.
There are also factors such as the 172 looking better, and...
I got the Renault magazine through the other day, read the 182 Cup bit..and laughed, and then laughed even more when i noticed this personalisation scheme. Over £1000 for a paint option and a leather option ranging to over £3000? Together thats about a 3rd of the cars worth!
Anyone invested in...
So like i said, cost.
Having rolled a few cars i can give a decent opinion of what i think is best. I dont see your point Edd, perhaps you can improve on a simple bolt in structure but its still not going to be as strong..
Si, if you want to be able to sell your car maybe you should consider...
Well fundamentally welded is stronger than bolted, its one structure and not two. Bolted feet in an event of a roll can just go through the car, because the weight/force isnt spread over as large an area as a weld in.
Bolted is for cost saving only.

Do Tesco have proof of you filling out something on the website, and do they admit to a mistake? Thats your only come back really. Otherwise this could be a harsh lesson for you..
