My mate has a B16A which is 250bhp, NA!! Goes past 10k though so not very driveable but it does equate to high 12/low 13s on the strip so surely that is bordering TVR speeds? Not at 140mph though..

Like the NSX, i was blown away with the CTR because of its gearbox and and engine. Shame it didnt have decent handling to match. I often see a race prepped CTR at trackdays and he has JDM bits which help the woeful steering, according to him anyway.

I may have to kill you if you dont do a search for brake pads. There must be at least a bzillion threads with exactly the same question.
This topic should also be in the exterior and mechanical section.

What makes you think about having a 1.4? I dont see the point in the 1.4..its a half way house..either go for something economical or go for something performance biased, not in the middle.
The new Clio is getting on a bit now, i would only consider the Sport models as worthwhile purchases...
Its utterly pointless doing a 172 turbo, i would urge you to try out some more varied cars George, there are a hell of a lot out there!
I appreciate the giant killing ability a 172 turbo would bring but a simple RWD car will bring more simple delight and will also make you a better driver...
My Mini has a Chilli pack which is just interior optional equipment, had to pay more for that, and more for the also factory fit 17s. Im not suprised really..the Cup packs are more desirable to you, and thieves!

George, its simple, get out and drive something else..it will change your perceptions of the Clio. Its a great car for a FWD hatch..but it isnt a great car compared to an Elise or VX220.

Dejavu! Same thing happened to my cousin who only recently got himself a Mk1 RT. Sorry to hear the news, it must be gutting.
Im not aiming this at you Tom (you may be the shy retiring type for all i know) but im going to say the same thing i said to my cousin as i think its worth considering...
Since when did we start talking about Porsches?
Id get an Elise, defo, even if i got sick of it after a year, its worth having the experience. Forget the "Its not as fast in a straight line" b****cks, thats not what the Lotus ethos is all about! You will have the time of your life, trust me...
Really?
I saw one yesterday near home, it was the yellow. Didnt look that great as it was dirty..but from the pictures ive seen, i wouldnt say no!

Id have to get the V6, however crap they are to drive.
The NSX has just been here http://www.harveybailey.com/http://www.harveybailey.com/
Theyd sort out the handling! Get a rorty exhaust on there and Mk2 owners wouldnt look so smug :)

With the 172 wheels you need spacers on the back, with Cup ones, you dont (theyre also made by Speedline at a different ET, meaning they appear wider).

Thats a bit of an A-Z approach. Theres all that time in between, no car is perfect, and i dont think theres any harm making the ownership experience a bit more personal. But sure, if you can hold out, that would be the sensible thing to do.
