Whenever i see some numpty with the interior of their house strapped to the roof with a bit of string i think "I wonder what would happen if that fell off."
Hopefully the owner of that bed was arrested, dick!

Im trying to help him buy decent VFM money mods, coil overs are the hot topic of late but i dont think it would be too hard to match them with a few phone calls to other companies..
Leda is a good, convienient company but i think Bilstein are better..comparing their top of the range stuff the...
I presume the H&Rs arent progressive? I think it all depends on how you drive. No one can make a genuine arguement on pure driving terms for the Eibachs as how can a progressive rate ever be matched to a damper? You cant.
Anyway, so does anyone do shocks, my question has fell on deaf ears...
The car is 2 years old.. yes i have driven the same car, and on the same road..otherwise it wouldnt be much point comparing.
As good as coilovers. What do you mean Pete? Coilovers arent a magic word..they are just different springs and dampers.
The car felt tighter at normal speeds, going...
Im not sure what the fuss is about with the Eibachs, in normal driving it seems fine but throw in a challenging road and the damping is confused and slow to react once things get moving. This led to the car bouncing on a particular road..
I told my mate this, obviously he wasnt too happy to...
A bit of a strange decision but they are really nice handling cars and despite the sheer numbers of Focuses (Foci?!) around the ST170s look quite classy IMO.

As Alex says you cant go wrong with the Turinis..classic style. Sometimes i like the 182 wheels, sometimes not. They definetly arent sporty looking, which they should be.

Stiff suspension will make things more hairy in the wet..but were talking FWD Clios here, though after driving a Cup i found it felt a bit on tip toes.
The things that keep you in contact with the road are the tyres ultimately, so get some new ones!

I think there are too many fundamental problems with the MK1 V6 to make it a truly good car without major investment. Before anyone says it, i think a suspension kit will only disguise the handling problems, not solve them. Get a second hand NSX!

Is that all?! Good deal. I got a dad loan for my Clio as i wasnt old enough to get finance/loan anyway.
As for the V6, it would depend on your maturity really, at 18 (one year ago) i did rag my car about a bit and had a lucky escape. The V6 has built in understeer but there is no stopping...
But how do you get the money for the car in the first place? I skipped uni and went straight to work but its not like i went straight to 20k a year..

STIs are ok but the ones below that are just understeering barges!
8k is a very good price, but personally a Subaru is dog ugly and id rather own a Skoda in terms of image. Sorry to go off topic!

In essence, dont go for a VAG Turbo car. They are overrated by people who know absolutely nothing about cars. Saxo kids who have put on a few years, there is not one aspect of the Ibiza that is any good.
You could get a RWD for 8k, why dont you?
