I have the Renault price list and specifications in front of me here. The Belgian car is rated at 120kw and the Luxembourg one at 124kw.
Are you trying to tell us that the Belgian cars are the same as the rest?

The little buggers are just plain quick. I got a big thumbs up from a guy in an E46 M3 at the ring on Saturday. I pulled about 200m on him over the 20km but we were dead even most of the way. And not just in the twisty bits! And that is with 171,000km, no mods, sh*te tyres and original...

Sounds like you all need to get your arses over to the ring! I did three hours there this morning and feel much better. Heading back tomorrow. Only bad bit is the autobahn on the wy to and from. Willy is a bit buzzy at 6500 rpm. At least there are not Gatsos or cops looking for speeders!

Great news Joe. Im about to get my Jean Ragnotti order in. Hope they aent all gone!
Im getting used to the buzz on the autobahn in my Willy so the Clio should feel luxurious in comparison.

Mine as well. Just never know where it is going to be. Seems to be different each time I start the car. Then it takes a dive from about a half to an eighth. Seems pretty accurate around the bottom which is nice. The reserve light works as well.
They do indeed have a Belgian spec with a restricted engine. The literature we get here in Luxembourg lists the two versions. It is done as a tax dodge. As far as I know all the Belgian 172s are restricted to 120kw. And they cost €950 more there than here!

Sean,
I know what you mean about the Irish prices. Nothing like the VRT on top of the 21% VAT to get the price up there! You want to see crazy though, just look at Denmark prices!
The VRT sucks big time but it seems all the Irish public are really worried about is the price of the pint...

Choice. A good thing. Im a car nut and love my Willy I. I also have had some great cars over the years. Some of my favourites were stripped out homologation specials. And one of these made the Cup look absolutely luxurious. But it was a ball to drive.
