i think you cant jump from a raw cliosport MKII/MKI into a MKIII and be blown away in the same style. it takes a bit longer to really appreciate it but i havent had the time to do that as i dont own one.
i must say though.
Recaro CS (white centers)
Pearl White paint,
anthractite wheels...
£5k deposit bought a vectra estate for 4months whilst i waited for the megane to be delivered and then the rest of the money went on the meg.
money was from the sale of my 172cup ;)
same here but i wont be switching even though i still can technically with PCP only way i would if a pearl white 197 or meg came out if they were both white it would be very tough but the extra powr and tunability + street presence of the meg would probably win out.. its a proper hothatch up...
its not that bad its just that we will never see the likes of the 172/182 steering nowadays.
as for speed its so comfy and insulated you dont feel its only marginally slower.
rstuning remap ITG filter and some inlet manifold work (£500`ish) im sure that 195 can be massaged to...
well i run only on bpultimate or vpower i get 29.5mpg combined and im no slouch.
thing is mines only £160 PCM over 3yrs so really its only ins and fuel thats a problem monthly (no need for mot for 3yrs is a new car bonus) but even then its only £40-45 per week and £55 ins permonth.
cheap as...
the meg is a beast with corners once you get confident in chucking it around it reacts so nicely.
also the front is nicer on the meg, and the rear is nice on the 197. overall its a close call but i think yes a 197 in the right colour with the right wheels pips it.
im thinking the same thing...
you should see the accessories brochure you can make a 1.2 clio look really nice actually which is something knowone has mentioned. to do that to the last one you had to fit 172/182 bumpers but on the new one there are plenty of wheel and kit options.
i have to admit my first dirve i wasnt...
.. ohh and about filming it just check out metacafe, youtube, putfile, google video etc.. littered with examples of people speeding and filming im sure to put your face on is very daft but other than that if that wasnt there then it would be no different to any other car vid.....
.. in fact i...
^ agree one thing the meg has is amazing refinement (hence some people rekon its boring) there is no wind noise, hardly any road noise (Which is exceptional given low profile tyres and 18" wheels) and due to the wide track and fat wheels etc.. can do 120 without even a sweat in terms of road...
y`see i think thats way too fast for a tin can clio with a light back end and small wheels
but my main point is illustrated about a saloon designed to handle top speeds..

not a problem only a C-class but wide...
depends what you have, if its a uber german saloon its quite easy with 500bhp and massive smooth torque + refinement to do 120 when you think your doing 80 and then realise.
but in general yea sure, doing that is pretty obvious in most cars.
interesting spell SCARY lol.
btw to experience the abilities of a sports car you are usually on the limit or above even if you do a corner at 60mph and your on the speed limit you could easliy still kill someone.
speed doesnt have to kill if the driver awareness is upto scratch.
it means.. there isnt a gurantee that this wont happen even if everyone stuck religiously to the speed limits.
there are randoms..
tiredness,
blindspots,
mobile phone,
stero fiddling,
tyre blowouts,
animals jumping in front of you,
concentration lapse (happens when bored going slow !)
weather...
sorry to be cruel but that whole car is a bit maccy`d. the overly large wheels, the black rear lights, the tints, the oversized exhaust hanging out there etc..
it does look pretty sweet for what it is. more pimp than motorsport but thats ok too.
agree, its no dafter than other ways people drive. i mean you make a video of going slow ? sure its daft to post on the web but join the thousands who do it each week.
one point of fact. you take your children out in the car you can resonably expect that they may get killed, not to say from a...
197 is more grown up and chunky cant be a bad thing really. you dont buy a cliosport for straight line (although there not bad) its all about the corners.
tell you what remembering back to my cliosport owning days 6deg was perfect and the fastest, im sure the engine is better at specific temp even if its just a reading to the ECU and there is only a minimal temp difference.
but yea some times varys, pretty much same in the meg although less...
which is what 'everyone' thinks thus there arent any on the roads at all.. so when you own one you have something called exclusivity.
if you were on a motorway with talibacks thousands of cars there wouldnt be even 1 V6 clio. so very rare and head turning much more than any BMW including the...
not quite splitting hairs but its actually 12 to 100mph. same as an Evo FQ300 MR but thats more to do with 0-60 than the M3 at 60-100 coming into its own.
some have you have lost your minds or are newbies. Renaults are now very very safe.
the new espace has been seen as dangerous for older cars as its so tough in a crash.
oter than a volvo or a modern mercedes your as safe in a new renault as anything else on the roads if not much safer.
