My bro rejected his first 172 because of paint defects (contamination in paint all over car) think he just spoke to dealer got it inspected and put in in writting he was rejecting the car.

A service centre would = warrenty approved then:)

hhhhmmm im am going to write to R Sport tonight asking for written confirmation of the warrenty aproval. Cheers for the info, if Renault gave you their number then they must be approved also im sure they would have told you tht their not warrenty approved...!

Did you phone customer services and asked about the R sport ECU and they gave you R Sports number? You then got your ECU fitted there and they found some stuff wrong with your Cup and are now fixing it under warrenty for you? Nothing to worry about just seems strange as I never knew they...

So are R Sport a Renault approved warrenty garage i.e they will claim off Renault for the work done on your car.

Jay I think only some Renault dealers are alarm "specialists" and he may have to goto another one near by that is.

_KDF IMHO the Cup blue is so much nicer than the silver. A silver Cup is just a wannabe as Tom said.:D

I made the same move as well Primera SRi (modded with HSH etc etc 170 hp) to a Cup, the handling on the Primera was brillaint and mine was pretty fast as well especially 80-1?? + but the 172 will be much more fun to drive and has much more "street cred" than a "taxi" Primera.

That really does not sound good, id take it back and demand my money back...

Give him a chance, hes a bit dimm and you have to encourange special ppl like him.
