Thing about mods/insurance that makes me laugh is that if you change your tyres to some cheap ass budget 25£ tyres you dont have to tell them (this raises the chance of you crashing 10X as much as adding a fecking filter!) but if you add a filter they want to charge you 50£ extra. Hippychick...
hehe most ppl dont upgrade their Clios to other Clios as owning one in your life is more than enough, if I was to replace my Cup it would definatly not be another Clio Sport (unless it was a 2.0 turbo)
Its just "one of those things" and I bet it has happened to every car manufacturer at some point , even VW.
Hope everything gets fixed out and your in a new car ASAP.
I am going to as I need it serviced soon (just cant be bothered to send away the app form!) I just find it strange this is the only forum I use that does this and im sure some new ppl will just not bother posting when they see it.
Anyway lets not turn this thread into a argument over forum...
Had the crank shaft sensor replaced and no luck, so put standard ECU back in (yeah i know thats the first thing we should have tried) and it started first time. Waiting for R Sport to get back to me about sending it back.
BTW this non memeber posting restriction is a complete crock of sh*t!
Tony say if you take a 182 engine and a 172 engine will they both reach similar ammounts of hp when modded. i.e when I had my SRi Primera (same engine as GT Primera) once i had swapped all the bits with after market bits I was making the same/more than most of the GTs with the same aftermarket bits.
Gary if you do a lot of motorway miles etc and like your comfort then get a 172, it really does feel like a bigger car with the supension being so smooth but still sporty and also the cars got the kit level of a car worth 1000s more (try specing a cooper upto 172/182 spec and see the price!)...
Ive seen the difference between a Cup and a 172 and there is a noticeable difference in 3rd gear especially.
Oh and I really doubt your 172 is faster than a R Sported Cup (if its standard)
We were helping till you posted up and took it off topic, he wanted opinions of both cars and me and _KDF were giving them. But according to you me and _KDF aint even allowed to have some banter, oh its such fun in here now :(
