If he evers needs someone else to look after the escort ill gladly do it ;)
I say if you want it and can afford it then buy it youll only regret it if you dont
Cant comment on the Teg myself but you wont be dissappointed with the 172 Cup if your after a chuckable fun hot hatch
If youre feeling flush and can afford to loose £2000 in the 1st 6 months then get the 182
Problem solved after a couple of hours on the phone...
Admiral have insured me no probs for £1000 less than Adrian Flux quoted me
Very impressed with them, they allow 6 mods and in the event of a claim they repair the car with standard parts which is fair enough
Just been ringing round getting TPFT quotes for the valver with following mods:
Stainless steel exhaust / induction kit / lowered / wheels / possible half cage
These are the exact same mods i had the the 172 except for the cage which i know insurance companies hate and i never had any...
Have you recently bought this or were you trying to sell it a few weeks ago coz i think i remember it being on ebay?
Looks good externally but some phase 2 bits would really help
Not keen on the interior myself
The manifold is sprayed with heat resistant paint the rocket cover was polished when i bought the car
I presume it was machined coz it would take weeks doing it by hand!
Thats one battered looking car
The worst bonnet vent ever... what shape is it supposed to be? doesnt match the lines of the car at all
Cant believe its not lowered considering its been messed about with so much... in fact it looks like its been raised!
The braking power of the renaultsport clios in superb
As said above you can get a better price than 8k on an 02 plate with that mileage like mine in the forsale section to start with
Think a steering wheel is about £275 from reno coz mine was changed under warranty
Thats on a Mk2 but i doubt theres much price difference
Cheaper to get a nice momo or something

The difference in the two cars is minimal especially on normal road driving
The 182 comes with the Cup Pack suspension option which is popular whereas youd have to go aftermarket to improve the 172 handling (which isnt exactly shabby as stock)
Ask youself if youd be able to live with a 182...
172s and 182s are both great cars
It depends how much money you are willing to loose because a new clio will be worth half what you paid after 3 years where as if you buy a 172 the previous owner will be the one whos suffered the most loss in value
For example im selling my full fat 172, 51...
