Loose connection at the rear of the stereo then IMO :)
I doubt it's a fuse as the fuse for the HU does the following -
F7 Radio 15A Radio, Cigarette lighter, Clock, Courtesy mirror, Heated rear screen relay, Central communication unit, Fuses and relays
So you'd lose quite a lot of...
See, now we're getting somewhere ;) lol
Does the head up display show anything at all? IE the clock/temperature etc etc?
What happens when you switch the car headlights on?
Whilst I agree, I think fitting CAMS is about more than just the peak figures.
For me anyway, it's more about the driveability of the car, whilst keeping it sane for a daily drive :)
A regular Clio gets the speedo sensor from the ABS ring. A 172 Cup gets it from the box (no ABS).
Fitting a Cup box to a 172 engine shouldn't stop the speedo working...should it??
Possibly the relay, check none have worked loose. They're up behind the dash, behind the glove box. Get your head in the passenger footwell with a torch ;)
Aye, dodgy connection. There are a few LED's that light up behind the speedo so if they were all flickering then I'd say it's a loose connection.
Dash off job I'm afraid :dapprove:
Dyno mapping is the only way to go, that way you can see the gains too.
Luke - Not sure yet, depends but if I do you're welcome for a quick blast mate.
I have the full 182 Cup suspension sat in my garage, you could have borrowed a strut....however I've sold it so it's awaiting delivery to it's new owner :(
I'm in Lancashire too!
Glad it's sorted mate :)
If you taped them together then you'd have a dead short as one is the +ve feed to the brakelight and the other will be the -ve return.
It's the same as it shorting on the bodywork of the car.
