Im with Reno (not FREE, but that shouldnt make any difference) I asked about alloys and they said even if valued at zero would increase risk and therefore premium I paid out £60 extra and had £150 added to my excess good luck, but not hopeful... :(

Ive got 40mm drop on a new shape and massive improvement in french rolly-polly lean theres a double bend on the way to work - it leaned more at 50mph B4 than it does at 65 now!! Im sure youll get loads of slam it comments, but me thinks 40 is a v.good compromise cos ride still good but firm...

got a clonk/creak from drivers side steering - most noticeable when reversing off drive at angle or slow turns on uneven ground. sods law, it started the day before I got 17s and lowered suspension fitted! any ideas? will Reno try and void my warranty & blame the mods?

the dCi sits a bit lower at the front as standard - heavier engine. mine was about 150mm B4 @ front, 110 now. wheelarch visible above tyre (vertical from top of tread) from 55mm to 15mm

Ive been told a little dremel drill is best AND to leave the tyres on - just touch-up with a paint pen and lacquer pen.

p.s. I got 40mm APEX (fitted for only £122 at BB in Essex) and 17s - Im well chuffed! much less roll and ride firm but not hard. is it really worth spending a fortune on posh shocks on a sub-100HP car??

you can get Cups for about 11K (under 10 nearly new), but the lack of little extras like ABS, Auto lights and auto-wipers is a bummer - fab cars tho. I think Tom would agree that the 182 is the best of both the CUP and 172. If I had 14/15K, Id defo buy a 182!!

I know all you Cup & 172 owners can do 14s, 15s and 16s But what about the rest of you - Im guessing about 18 for a dCi. what have ppl done in old and new standard and modded 1.2s, 1.4s, 1.6s and dCis??

I doubt it! I test drove a non-air car and bought one with air - no difference in performance, but tiny effect on economy IF IF I use it - about 10 days in August 03. but I dont see how taking the belt off would help - if its not on, it cant drain any power!? :confused:
