007 I had my modded Primera SRi RR @ star twice and both times gave big at the wheels losses compared to the fly figure, last time it was there last year it made 170 hp and 124@ wheels.

Roamer what is involved with the conversion? What do you need? new exhaust system? ECU ? Have they got a ball park figure on the price of the conversion. Cheers

Nah, he is just on a wind up, afterall if a cup is going to be the ultimate boyracer car so is a 172 cause guess Mr Bumblehead they are the same fecking car... give or take a few goodies and .3 of a secs to 60.

Are cup engines not bench tested so will all be making roughly the same?

You cant generalise like that, you cant say a mark 1 is faster than a mark 2 or vice versa and post BS mag times, its down to the specific car I rekon.

We will see how yours goes first.. if it does ;)

Mo i was told by the guy @ R sport that it DOESNT null your warrenty, i asked him 3 times and he said we can lie about things like this etc etc The ecu is exaclty the same as the Renault one same stickers same code on sticker (apart from 2 digits etc) it IS a renault part.

Is it true that of you get your car serviced at another garage using genuine Renault parts they cant void your warrenty? Im sure its some European law or something??? Anyone know?

Sorry to say but there is no way your car is worth 4k... 6 month old cups are worth 10 k .... 99 Primera GTs are worth 5 k etc etc etc. Trade price its most likely worth about £1500

Looks very nice m8 but please dont go around racing as you will give the 172 a bad name, or hurry up with the NOS install :D Just out of interest I wodner how a 1.2 16 valve with same 50 shot NOS would go agaist say a valver in a side by side drag?

Rich can I ask you why you want a 172/Cup when going by your 1/4 mile times your Ralley is just as quick and will handle very well as well. You just bored with it and want something different?

Rich some RB5s came with the PPP mods some didnt make sure you get a PPP one or a CUP will be right up your chuff! Even with the PPP there wont be much in it till about 90 mph as I found out when I raced a 280 hp M99 Scooby. Good luck with you choice.

At York... nuff said lol Rhys ive got it chipped and panel filter so should be able to beat my last PB but after the Cup blowing up yesterday its made me think about the ware and tare of going on the strip. Also it costs 7£ to get into Crai 15£ to run and about 20£ on petrol and the roads...

Paddy I dont need to prove anything I think I proved how quick it is vs Kennys 280 hp Scooby. My car wont be going back on the strip for a wee while now I just think its to hard a car doing it every month.
