Beam pattern? Surely your bulb/s must be fitted upside down?
You can't 'alter the beam pattern' as that is imprinted on the case lens.

Tom, get in the car and turn the key in the ignition to stage 2 (don't start it) then get out and arm the car. It should beep once to signify that the boot, bonnet and door sensors have been disabled.

You can deactivate the bonnet sensor, you need to get in the car and switch your ignition on and off the required number of times, then jump out and quickly lock the car. The alarm will beep the required number of times to signify the sensor is disabled.

Well you could do yeah but if the solenoid is sticking hit the starter motor with a rubber mallet or something similar and see if it will start then.

Well if you do take it to a garage, be warned that the MAP sensor is circa £100 from Renault.
I managed to get one for less than £30 in the end and fitted it myself, shame you're so far away.
If you remove the engine cover, the MAP sensor is located on the drivers side of the plenum. Leave it in situ and unplug the connector that goes to it, then start the car and see how it responds.
