well i do believe the 1.9 diesel volvo 440 engine is the same as the clio 1.9 but with a turbo strapped onto it?
i would still think it would be a bit of a git to fit
yeah i mean i managed to get out there and polish my old clio b4 i got my new 1 but it was real cold and i had to wait ages for the polish to dry to a haze but then it started raining just as i was finishing so that was a bit pointless............ i need a big heated garage

its not loud or obstructive or anything i was just wondering
ive got a 1.6 also...... only had a few days and am still running it in so i cant comment on the max speeds but i think its pretty quick (esp compared to my old 1.2 8v!)
how many revs do u guys take it up to b4 u change gear?
i had a 1.2 mk1 clio with a pipercross induction kit (foam) just stuck right on top...... never given me any problems what so ever........ lovely hissy noise at medium revs
ill tell ya what my "clunking" turned out to be! MY EXHAUST! i only found this out when i changed it but i think ur exhasut may be sitting too close to the edge of the channel and so when u go around the corner it "clunks" against the channel wall ( kinda just under where u sit) - i know it...
