yeah i was a bit worried about it....but heard the same thing. Looks v smooth either way you look at it. Was surprised there is no cover system like with GoW
i've just read a bit more about the error you had. your saying XP was installed ok and then blue screened....and now it says no bootable devices. I tihnk you should takcle this from a different perspective, perhaps ask griff or a mate to lend you a sh1tty hdd and see if it's the hdd thats got...
Right. If you are instlaling XP. It will say
Press a key to boot from CD, you do. Then it says SETUP is inspecting your computer something like that. Then you get a blue screen with stuff happening at the bottom, it's written as text, one of these messages is press F6 to load SATA drivers...
yeh more than likely although i haven't done a vista install yet so i'm not sure on this one, someone else might be able to give you a hand on that.
The thing about issues like these is you'll have to troublshoot it with trial and error. If vista isn't working try instlling XP as we've said...
it does.
I would do the following as i have experienced very similar issues with my SATA Raptor drive on my motherboard.
Firstly, remove all other devices, CD-Rom's other HDD's etc.
Then go into the bios, - you will need to find the section which allows you to choose bootup options...
you tried to repair windows?
ok just read some of the thread, sorry about that.
are you runnning the primary hd from raid partition? i had similar issues because my SATA RAID wasn't setup right.
