well if i'm honest most g cards are going to play it above 640x480. Although if your talking about tiberium war then FYI the one i'm selling will play it at max quality on 1900x1200. However if thats a little out of your bracket i think the only model down from the 8600 is the 8500's which are...

tbh i was looking at the benchmarks on tomshardware for the GTS and they're awesome for the money. Supposed to be better than the GT and it's the same money on overclockers tbg. Its even outperforms the GTX is lots of places
