Bit of a generalisation there Ben ..
"get anywhere near fast enough to abuse the std brakes. And if you tell me you can, ill tell you to stop hounding the brakes and learn to drive lol".
Half an hours driving hard in my car results in no brakes, at all.
You cant overkill brakes, you just...
Sorry but measly exhaust/filter mods shouldnt be counted as power gains. Get a chip once youve got some stuff done, dont get an Rsport as you cant do anything else (its not reprogrammable).

I agree, relative to the cost of the car, its just not worth it but i dont understand when peeps say why that on a 1.4. Braking is completely different from performance, what would be a waste of money is spending money on the engine. His car will be much quicker all round because of these...
The Williams is a superb drivers car, and its not relative to FWDs or anything, its superb in its own right. I wouldnt say its an absolute legend, many car lovers i know dont think "wow a williams" when i mention them. But then, its a hatchback, not that exciting.
Id still prefer a 172 though...
I was refering to these 11 quid spacers btw where you have less thread on the lug nuts which isnt clever at all as bits not designed for load are having to deal with it. H&R do proper ones i think, as ben_ren19.16v says, will be hub specific.
Id expect yours are universal Rhys being as cheap...
Personally i would take the Leon, it has flair, good looks, reliability and speed. The Skoda looks so boring to me, and im still not over the badge. Maybe its my age but when i see the young ladys in Sidcup i cant see them being impressed if i said Fancy a ride in my Skoda?.
Good luck.

Im not sure how pedals can be ideally spaced as everyone has different sized feet. Theres plenty of room for me though (im a size 10). The Cup has more grip than the std 172, oversteer is still easily accessible in the Cup but not as much so as in the 172.

As i said Jay uprated dampers combined with the springs are good because the dampers will have full travel unlike OE ones. Youll get better ride and handling.
£200 isnt really a lot of money for the benefit you will get.

Keep yours and wait until you can afford a 172, superminis are meant to be economical and cheap to run..the 1.6 isnt, im not saying its a bad car, ive never even driven one, but i dont see the point in getting it TBH. To be totally honest i only think the 172 is the one in the range worth...
