My guess is that as it's been without a battery for six months, it's either lost it's memory and as such needs reprogramming or the decoder ring has gone faulty.
Do you have a spare key?
The car is still under warranty though so bear that in mind before you start messing with sensors etc.

The only option for the badge is to take a photo before you remove it and work it out from there.

Three main ways of checking if it's an import -
1, No alarm.
2, No locking wheel bolts.
3, No window etching.
All these three things are required for insurance purposes in the UK.
Two ways, either cut it just before the rear beam or you'll have to drop the rear suspension and possibly remove rear bumper to get it out in one piece.

From Renault they are circa £30 from memory although it's several years since I bought one.
Halfords do non-oe replacements but as far as I know this wont have the electric heating element.
I don't mind paying the road tax, I just wish it was proportionate to the number of miles you do.
I probably use my car 60% less than I did 18 months ago yet the road tax keeps creeping up! :dapprove:
As far as I know, all 182's across the board are ET45.
The hub bolt spacings are different as the Cups and Cupped car's have strengthened hubs compare with the non-cup cars. (not sure on the technicalities of that though.) They are also up rated as they run about 1 degree more camber vs none...
