adam k - only joking mate. just a reference to an old thread. - also i'd say that monitor would support 1080 since it's resolution is - 1920*1080 and urs supports more than that.
Guys, i have been having some problems with this. i can manage to get this working with the right resolution using the over scan facility using nvidia drivers. but for some reason when i launch a game it comes up in resolutions the tv can't display, so it's essentially cutting parts off or...
well the tv has full blu ray support. not sure where i'd get the specs for it if i can't find it on the sony website, i'm sure it'll look good on it though whatever the hz
the technical spec is here... i know the V series does 60hz 720p... doesn't talk about it much on the link though

doesn't do all the formats? what dya mean mate? is there not like only one? i'm clearly naive!
i'm not a sony fanboy but this one is tv of year in the new whathifi vision and sound awards...can't be bad.
i have a 1080p display ;]
sounds a bit sony pro...but i don't doubt it'll be a good console. it'll just be about the games...prob end up with both anyway.
definitely a good buy. hey roy where'd u get the hd gladitator? my mate has a copy of that on blu-ray but i couldn't find it on the web. finding it hard to get any proper HD content stuff really.
the original was really good...but i wonder if it would be as 'funny' now you know. i can't remember but i'd give this one a go on that merit alone. Hope it's not a let down.
yeah i put vista on a mates machine and had issues with that. fortunately nvidia xp drivers support overscan so hopefully not a problem, appreciated though mate cheers.
Guys, i've just got a new tele. i have a gcard which outputs 1 vga and 1 dvi, on the TV there is 2 hdmi ports 1 vga port.
Whats the best way to connect it ?
DVI > HDMI?
VGA > VGA?
or will it make no difference, as i'm pretty sure VGA will still output HD resolutions. Sorry if it's...
