Guys, i have been having some problems with this. i can manage to get this working with the right resolution using the over scan facility using nvidia drivers. but for some reason when i launch a game it comes up in resolutions the tv can't display, so it's essentially cutting parts off or flickering blah blah blah.

so how have you guys overcome this? am i going to need to use a 3rd party program like powerstrip or something?

Manually edit the games config file to suit the exact native res of your TV. I don't use my TV but my monitor runs 1680x1050...some games don't support 'non-standard' resolutions so they have to to be forced. Same principle should apply for you

or alternatively go in the game using your monitor and change the ingame res to 800x600 and if there is a refresh rate option change to 50/60hz and this edits the config file for you. Usually they are CFG files, edit with notepad.
