Take it to your local tip, you shouldn't dispose of any electrical appliances in household rubbish to conform with the new WEEE regulations.

No, it's quite normal. Do a searck for 'skip'. I've heard that it's the tyres, they are too wide at the front for the wheelbase when on full lock so the tyres skip!

Bad earth or bad connection at the rear lights mate. Take both out, check all connections and give everything a good blast of WD40.
