Cheers Brian, it was a 1n4001 50v 1A diode rectifier. The session has timed out now though. Looking at that wiring diagram, E12 is the light correct and the U/S module is A123/B123? And the linked cable is the source of the trickle back?

Also check the wiring, from memory it runs down one side of the bay to the first light, then across under the slam panel to the second light. Check the earthing points etc.

Surely if they snap and then Renault replace them with the same part they'll just snap again? :S Or are they an uprated/updated bracket?

Will this do the trick Brian? It's listed at 50v but I'm struggling to find that diode in 12v format.

The wheels will fit fine mate, if you get any rubbing it will probably be the rear inner arch liner. A couple of small (3/5mm) spacers will sort it out.

bad connections/ground under the aerial base is usually the cause. The only way to know is removing the roof lining and have a look.

I don't think you can mate, unless there's a separate fuse which controls the auto wipers and you remove it? The wipers are either 'Auto' or 'Off' I'm afraid.

There is (or should be) 3 wires to the courtesy light. 1 from the door locks (central locking), 1 from the door switch and the 3rd one will be the ground or -ve. There shouldn't be any problem fitting LED's as I have to mine although I'm in a mk2 ph2. Each lamp holder has both lives at it and...

AFAIK Xenon and HID are 2 different things. Xenon's are the cheap crap lamps you refer to from eBay that are standard filament lamps filled with a bit of Xenon gas to help produce the white/blue tinted light as seen on the HID equipped cars. HID's are High Intensity Discharge lighting as seen...

Wrong, the auto front wipers have nothing to do with the auto rear wipe, it's a select reverse feature. My Authentique had it with no auto front wipers. As above, so it seems do the Cups.

No mate, no hard drive, you can do it via a USB lead tho to enable you to stick the USB device out of sight/reach etc. Then control everything via the HU. I will get a pic today of the unit in situ, although with no device inserted as I do not have one yet :o ;)

yes, it's illuminated when the sidelights are switched on. Pull the tray out and check the plug hasn't come loose from the side of the cig lighter holder.

my 1.2 8v didn't edde I had the 259's on mine.
