righto, the car doesn't have auto wipers so that's not at fault. Yep the car's reverse light activated, the engine was started and the front wipers were wiping. I select reverse and nothing... :dapprove: Next? ;)

My Bro in law has just purchased an 04 Extreme 3 today. been having a look round it tonight and realised that the auto rear wiper doesn't activate when reverse gear is selected. The rear wiper and wash both work when operated from the stalk. Can anyone shed any light on this please?

lol, I know mate. I fitted the washers and the e-marked HID units from a 182, the only thing I never got round to was the auto-leveller although I planned to do it. I'm in my new 182 now Brian so no worries come MOT time :D

the 2005+ ones seem to have Update list wrote on them instead of Tuner list unless I'm mis-advised.

mine was £165 fully fitted with wiring harness etc.

I'm a D/H too as my non-sport passed it's mot only last month ;)

sounds more sinister than the lamps. As the fuses are blowing I would say it's probably the ballasts, but I'm amazed that both sides have gone already on a 2003 car. They're about £150 each from Renault. Have you had a look at the rear of the lights?

I don't think there's a 'cheap' 2.0 to insure, it depends on so many factors, postcode, age, mileage etc etc... I know myself that sub-25 the quotes were silly but not un-obtainable. I am now (just) 26 and it's a more manageable £450 F/C for me and g/f. Oh and colour is a factor too, red...
