What's the definitive way to tell if your car has ABS, without mentioning the obvious ;) Need to know for definite before I try to get hold of some new hubs. I've always assumed I've got ABS but how can you tell? Will Renaull know if I ring them with the reg number??
hasn't been MOT'd since I added them mate, but i'm 99% certain it will pass cos as you say I have the washers fitted, even tho they're not a legal requirement for non-factory xenons.
it's all relevant to where you live etc. Mine have never been pulled by either the police or the MOT tester even tho both people pulled me on a dodgy number plate, which read DAZ24 27 instead of DAZ 2427. All in full legal font/size, just 1 space out. :S
anyhow, mine are 'white' but appear...
i've got a pair if you want them mate? But yeah it should be fine i would of thought. Do you know the tyres yet? If they're mk2 ph2 i'm guessing 195/45/R16's?
mk1 rs are et43 mate so yes 5 mm spacers would bring the alloys back down to et43.5 but it depends on your tyre widths/lowering options as to whether you'd suffer any rubbage.
I have et45's on my non-sport (et37) so with 5mm spacers i'm et40. But with 205's and -60mm i'm scary closer to the...

no, it's like reverse lights or side repeaters. If they are fitted, they must work, but if they're not fitted it isn't a problem.
If you still want to look here first item, top of page. Pricey but should do the job ;)
white ones shouldn't be legal either as they are too bright and give the incorrect light spread to be used in sidelights. LED's are too 'direct'. Even the red ones to be used in the tailgate are illegal because the clusters/reflectors simply aren't designed for LED's. Only LED specific...
I had the same problem when mine went. I struggled to get any other garage to attempt the clio bearing as they're 'special' apparently. Ended up getting Renault to do it in the end!
*edit* just realised yours is a Mk1
you can buy a different rating of lamp, but that will just change the colour. The K rating refers to what temperature the light is emitted at and what 'colour' the light will appear. Iirc the higher the K rating, the closer to daylight it will be. As for projecting further, this is down to the...
