No mate not hard at all. Took me an hour including all pipework drilling bumper etc..etc... My next idea is to add a separate washer bottle just for the headlights with a 5 second timer supplied from the headlights so they work as they should ;)
yeah as Has says check it's sealed as those rubber things cost about £5 from renault whereas a Xenon lamp is £130 ish!
If it's flashing I would guess at the starter or the lamp has gone.
no probs mate, PM me ;) Cheers for the nice comments guys, as for why you have to have them...i've no idea lol! But i think it's a nice simple mod, subtle but effective
No mate, the washers on 172/182's are UCH controlled, so that's a no-go. Mine simply wash when I wash my front screen. Although I'm thinking of adding a second pump at a later date which should enable me to make them work only when headlights are on. But i'll never achieve the 5 second delay...
...to my lil 1.2 xenons ;)
took me about an hour all in and has set me back the pricely sum of £30 :approve:
Nice cheap mod, but sweeeet! :star:
:rasp:
cheers guys, i'm fair happy with the car right now :approve:
Mike, the plates are now back to standard, they were attracting too much attention mate, but no i never got pulled with them on the car. The back one how it looked with black plates... oh and my anthracite rear 'diamond' ;)
Agree about the range side of things, but the light it produces is much 'whiter' and closer to daylight than the 'orange' glow of a filament. Hence why things are clearer...signs look white again ;) lol!
from inside the car
drivers side
passengers side
evil mo'fo :rasp: ;)
and square on
I'm well happy with the difference, best mod i've done so far! :star: :star: :approve: :approve:
what car is it? The clio's (Mk2 ph2) do not have power once key is switched off/removed. The only way to make the stereo work with the ign switched off would be to connect the switched +ve to the permanent +ve feed. ie both the red and yellow cables to the permanent +ve.
