Just for the record, the Mk1 172 DID NOT have xenons, it came with double optics iirc, but they are standard filament lamps as far as I'm aware? Some confusing and misleading information appearing in this post...
also...one more 'technical' point, the UCH on the 172/182's controls the headlight washers for the xenons, giving a 5 second timeout when you wash your screen. If the Trophy had xenons this would need to be altered to suit also. ;)
yes mate, £7 and a few pence, was less than £15 for pair anyways. Part numbers are 7701207168 and 7701207152
Oh and you need 2 x M14 1.5mm thread nuts to fit the washers as they don't come supplied mate!
Cheers doc, but i've worked it out now ;) just needed to take it apart and fiddle about :)

Has's has the flared arches, it's Dutty that has had the 172 bumper modified to fit a 1.2. I think it involved grinding down the brackets and heating up the bumper to gently reshape it to fit. However i'm sure he will confirm this either way soon...
lol @ the 2 :clown: 's above ;) I know the plates are risque but touch wood I've been ok so far.
And you wouldn't believe how steep that road is Jay!
the reverse lights aren't fused as far as I know, well not individually anyhow. Put windscreen wipers on then put car in reverse mate to see if your rear wiper auto-wipes. If it doesn't then I would say it's the reverse switch that's probably broken/dislodged.
The heater lights are on the same...
