1, airbag computer needs replacing, cannot be reset. 2, yes they can be removed, if you look under the seat you will find a connector. This needs modding and a resistor adding to fool the computer into thinking the airbag is still there. 3, no idea sorry mate...

is it a dent or a chip? I have a tiny dent on the rear of my roof (parking under a tree :dapprove: ) and have spoke to people about having it removed but have been advised that it's more hassle than it's worth and because the roof is such a large flat panel it could actually look worse after...

does sound like waters possibly got in somewhere. I would try giving everything inside the engine bay a good coating of WD-40. Leave bonnet open for a while then try again.

did you clean inside the engine bay? ie steam cleaned or anything?
