juddering is caused by ABS but more likely, the EBD. This however wont cut in unless your foot is pressing down hard, and for a long time, which means youll be skidding. You should be able to eliminate the ABS thing as you can feel it working.

My car will be serviced soon, mines a mk2(3) extreme. Ive heard its expensive at renault dealers..any idea how much? Everythings covered by warranty still so i dont expect any additional costs. And is it worth taking it to renault romford where we have a 15% discount or something.

H&R are one of the top suspension manufacturers in the world. I think im right in that porsche use them exclusively. Id advise getting some blistein shocks as well. I knew a BMW owner who had this combo, and it was very impressive for a 318.
I dont think the sideskirts on the mk2 172 are all that good anyway, k-tec do a couple of kits where you can get different side skirts seperately. When they finally get their site back up, id look at them.
If your desperate for the 172 ones though, im sure a good bodyshop can retrofit them...
Happened to me, drove home with no problems though. Phoned renault, they said restart it and if it happens again bring it in. They said its usual, a slight electrical glitch. Once restarted it didnt come on, had no problems since (3 months ago)
