Cheers guys, popped out to disconnect battery, waited five minutes, reconnected it and everything works as designed.

Another brief little update from me. I find the little bits make up the bigger picture.
The weekend just gone I decided to remove my cracked splitter until I could fix the new one, and also spray my front grill black.

Good idea or no?
I've just sprayed the grill in gloss and going to do the lower grill and fog light surrounds to make them look better.
Do I do the splitter before it goes on? (Skoda) or is there too much flex in it which is likely to make it flake etc.
