    New Car Time - Clio 2.0 138 Dynamique S?

I'd go for one OMS - The Mk3 Clio is a nice spacious car and will suit your needs down to a tee. Autobytel sell them for £10,600 too.

    Boredom pics

    Nice.

    Mk3 Carbon Bonnet

I'm not being funny but the 197 bonnet is as light as f**k anyway - so why bother??

Apple Black Friday Sales... in the UK!

I can get a 2GHz mac mini for £448.85 using my educational discount - may wait to December 1st for 15% VAT - Just don't fancy buying myself a half price one from Albert Road.

Apple Black Friday Sales... in the UK!

A half price mac mini would suit me down to a treat.

    Jst been down the dealer

The cheap 197 Cup was probably from Inchcape in Southampton - so a bit of a trip for you. But a bloke from there called Mark(I think) is supposed to do good deals.

    I've done it....

    I second that.

    182 to 197 - who's done it?

I'd imagine so.. I have a feeling it'll be more like the Phase 1 to Phase 2 change on the Clio 2, rather than the mild facelifts that came later in the Phase 2 Clio 2 production cycle.

    182 to 197 - who's done it?

What lets the Megane down is the styling, it looks dated now - it harks back to Renault were designing the Vel Satis and Avantime. The Clio looks fresh, although saying that, it gets a facelift next year.

    Volvo Estate Vs Yamaha R1

    I don't think I'd chance doing 190mph in almost a peasouper.

    just written my car off

08 car - So if you've got a decent insurance policy then you should get a straight replacement. Are you a new driver? If so I don't envy your next renewal quote. Glad to hear you and your pal are AOK. Disgraceful that none of the following cars didn't stop!

R27- Had my first service and also had the ecu reprogrammed under warrante

Yeh you're right. It's now doing around 27MPG. At least it's got more low down pull now, instead of nothing before 2.5k rpm.

Do i need my head tested?

I'm on my fourth Clio - I love 'em!

Seriously mate there is a noticeable improvement. Take it elsewhere.

R27- Had my first service and also had the ecu reprogrammed under warrante

I got mine done last Friday. Phoned up about it around lunchtime and by 4pm it had been done. Power definitely comes in lower down the rev range, fuel economy has jumped from 25MPG to 29MPG. The ECU was reflashed by Hemming in Chichester.

I think they're taking the piss. Just keep it until the market settles down a little.

    My New Car

There were around 5 or 6 V8 Rover 75s built. The majority were MGs though. http://www.aronline.co.uk/cotm200610f.htm http://www.aronline.co.uk/cotm200609f.htm Certainly a good used buy.

    Renault to close its factory's

As far as I am aware there's a fair few productions lines in the UK that are on shorter weeks.

    5 door clios?

That's a steal. Weren't the initiales a little more expensive than the 172?

    Difference with a R27 and a 197 ff

There is a Glacier White Cup at Inchcape in Southampton, with Recaros, air con and black speedlines in stock and ready to go. I saw this advertised on the Renaultsport forum's dealer section. Should be a competitive price too.

Va Va Voom - Thierry Henry and a 172

If I recall he did get given one. Think it got sold a year or two later with only about 400 miles on the clock.

    197 values

I know of someone who paid almost list on his R27 - Whoops. Glad I got 4k off list on mine.

    197 values

Yep someone buy that 08 197 with the Speedlines - that is a true bargain. If it is legit.

    Mk3 First Service

Bargain. Sewards in Portsmouth wanted £253 or £211 if I joined their free to join "exclusive club." I've booked my car elsewhere.

wrote off a 197 in 30 mins of ownership

"all these posts and still no pictures though" - As the car was probably a 1.2 Extreme.

    Few in Portsmouth

My car's parked in Portsea all day. Although within a week of doing so (a few months back now) got my nearside wing scratched up by some baby chav leaning his bike up against my car and and a scuffed bumper near the wheel arch. Before that not a mark on it.
