My thoughts too dude, 1*2's are alot of performance for the money imo, dont cost the earth to run (which in our current climate is ideal), and look great when treated right.
Try one, if you dont like it for whatever reason you can go for something else and atleast you can say you tried one ;)
I have owned 4 french cars now (one 106, two Saxo's & the Clio) and i have never had a problem with any of them (touch wood lolz), as long as you maintain them to a good standard and are'nt very unlucky i dont think you will have a problem ;)
Rolling road days are fun and usually good crack, but i would take RR results with a pinch of salt (unless hideously poor), if you are happy with how the car peforms on the road in 'the real world' then thats all that matters.
Dont get me wrong though i know rolling roads have their place for...
I like alot of the Dodo juice stuff having used (wax wise); Orange crush, Banana armour, Blue velvet, and Purple haze. I think the durability of the harder waxes is good, as was the beeding and shine given off by them.
But having After buying/using Zymol Titanium and Glasur i would recommend...
I cant say as i have noticed mine squeeling yet, i know when my brother ran them on his ek9 type r they only gave off a small amount of squeel after very hard use so it wasnt a problem when you were pottering around town.
Just put Brembo HC's, DS2500'S, Goodridge lines and motul RBF 660 fluid on the cup and i have to say once you get a bit of heat into them they are quality!
I also ran Mintex 1144's on my saxo VTS and they have a slightly better bite from cold than the DS2500 but seemed to fade after a few quick...
As per usual a fantastic job and great write up mate! I would also like to agree with what gally has said, you show what can be done with lighter coloured cars if treated in the correct way ;) Im sure the owner was over the moon when he got the car back.
Lolz i thought of gally when i saw your puma pics i must admit!
Your cup looks like a nice example matey and judging by your previous cars/plans for this, im sure you will have this lovely ;)
My garage and shed gets the job of looking after all of my old stuff and my brothers lol, at one point it was like aladins cave if you were a honda fan a few years ago lol
A good example of a cup is worth more than a good example 172, as they are more sort after (good condition ones especially) and are generally rarer, its that simple ;)
