Im guessing if i can get it all as a 'off the shelf kit' and fit myself then get it mapped properly would be cheapest way.
Its a shame becuse after searching the forum a few years ago you could buy it as a package, now no one seems to do it.
Dan@SJM
Do you do turbo packages and mapping? Your hell of alot closer to me(torbay).
Like you said one day full build, but would be nice to make a start using standard internals. Then when finances allow go full build.
Thanks
Thanks for the replys.
I just thought i would ask because when i searched on here i found some posts to diy kits for around 2.5 k back in 2009 but cant find them anywhere on the net
Im thinking of going down the turbo route are there any kits availble where you can buy all the parts together and then can fit in my own time as my clio is off the road.
Obviously once all up and running it will get sent to be mapped by a professional.
Im trying to keep the costs down and...
After taking the steering wheel off and making sure the steering angle sensor was correct, its fixed yay
All the lights went off by themselves a couple of miles down the road. I guess the ecu worked out the sensor was back in right postion.
Right, ive took my steering wheel off to make sure all connectors was ok which they was.
What i did check was also the steering angle sensor, this was showing blue in the little window so guess that maybe the prob. I rotated it until it had gone back to all yellow and refitted the steering...
I fitted my new snappy wheel today all fitted fine.
Went to go for a drive and the serv and esp light came on. Car drives fine. Got home switched engine off and then back on to move car into garage and now the abs light is on too
Any ideas??
Would it be possible to do it on a cheaper budget? I dont mean by cutting corners, but if for example you built it within the capability of the standard engine, i guess it would be a low boost setup. Or for the gains would itb be a better route?
Just wondering thats all:relaxed:
Over the next few months i want to refresh all the bushes on my 182,
I want to start off doing the cheapest and easiest, esp with xmas coming up. where should i start?
Also is powerflex the parts to use? If so what sizes/partcodes do i need
Thankyou
Yeah if im not working i will be there.
Is there any plans to have a meet up, drive photos etc one weekend?
Good pics buy the way, passed the blue clio with yellow headlights this afternoon looks smart, gave them the nod:cool:
To be honest mine doesnt feel restricted im just going by what people on here are saying. I might pop the orignal back on and see if i notice a differance.
Its a tough one i just cant see it being any worst than a standard setup, but will keep playing
I email ramair through ebay to see if they would sell the filter thats in the 182 kit seperate.
This was the reply
Hi Shane,
I'm afraid we do not have a listing for the specific filter supplied in this kit.
However the CC-115 filter that you guys on the cliosport net forum have started using...
When you look at kits such as the viper kit etc the filters in them are very small.
This setup should give better flow over standard i think but guess a couple of runs on a rolling road is the only way to reslly test
Im after a new system and like the RS192 system.
Couple of questions ive been on the website but theres no phone number and im a bit wary of ordering if its a old site or something.
Also is there any plans of a group buy on any exhaust systems ive looked but the posts seemed to have all gone...
