Ive been done 3 times for the usual clio front plate, first one years ago was £60 but the 2 that followed were £100 each, don't bother with them anymore.
The last guy was acting like it was crime of the century and he was doing the world a favour. he failed to notice the absence of diesel...
i clicked on it and started scrolling down thinking "i love an old skool thread". AS SOON as i seen that first megane pic i just started laughing as i instantly got a flash back to what was coming, i thought it was the Osama thread but that was a red mk2 im sure!
I am a big F4R fan, but the k20 is lightyears ahead both in terms of making power and being reliable at that power, my understanding is that a k20 with mild breathing mods and a map is making about the same power as a cammed and ITB f4R. I can only imagine an ITB k20 will make some mad power!
i thought these were just what everyone used? In fact i thought this was what people referred to as an easybleed lol I've been using one for years haha i bought the sealey version which is identical about 15 years ago and I'm sure it was about £100! i have had 2 under warranty right enough...
be throwing the parts cannon at it without plugging in but a couple of things:
if its not been serviced recently then stick a set of plugs in it, even if its had plugs recently make sure its the correct plugs, these run a specific TCE plug and some motor factors supply the normal 1.2 16v plugs...
I run 1144 /brembo HC front and ebc green/gen renault rear on my 197, along with braided lines and OEM fluid.
On the road it's absolutely fantastic, couldn't really ask for more, I struggled after a few laps of Anglesey though
I've got both and really really like the 197 they are just absolute money pits, the MK2 is much cheaper to run but are now getting more expensive and harder to come across.
As above stick with the box you have for the correct ratios, i moved from a later 197 box (longer 6th) to a 200 box and noticed the car felt livelier with the shorter 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear.
It was the same colour as yours mate but I re shelled it into a low miles shell as the RSI had 170k on it!
Headlights were sanded using wet and dry then polished up
I've got a home cinema but don't own any blurays or DVD's, everything is ripped in 4k to a server, that way you have the best of both worlds, instant access, high quality! I wouldn't have the space to keep them all! nor could i be arsed trying to look them out and insert them!
Streaming...
as is usually the case with all the clean non RS threads, interested if it comes up for sale lol!
Good work mate, ive got those springs on my RSI, surprisingly good ride quality! i think its better than standard!
In days gone by when you had a dodgy battery the first you knew about it was you tried to start it and it was dead or slow to start, these days its Electrical gremlins that usually put people down the rabbit hole of firing up the parts cannon
i got a bootlid from a GT from the scrappy for £50, quite a bit of later mk3s had the GT spoiler fitted from the factory so if you keep your eye on ebay you will come across them now and again
My old dear has a clio 4 with the 1.2 16v, its really slow but actually drives really nice! 140k miles on it too. I recon i could fit under the bonnet and get it closed and im fat. - They drive much nicer than the early 3 cylinder 900cc Junk.
Check for boost leaks! they usually go quite well!
