Today I was changing the turbo on my DCI and the o ring for the oil feed is ruined, drained oil all over the road and engine.....brilliant.
Wonder if anyone can tell me if the o ring which goes on the end of part 1 is available separately as I can't even see it on the schematic.
part numbers...
Evening chaps.
My turbo is in dire need of rebuilding. I've got a couple of spares laying around which I'm looking to rebuilt and then swap over for my existing one.
Being diesel these turbos are full of soot deposits. I can scrape quite a lot of it out but want to make the housing totally soot...
Now the summer is on the way I want to get the A/C on the DCI sorted. At the moment the system has no pressure but when I hit the A/C button on the climate control the pump doesn't kick in. Is this because there is no pressure in the system? I don't want to get the system pressured up and then...
Saw this on facebook and thought it might be of interest to people on here. Guy is called Tommy Potter and I think it's in East Sussex

Morning Chaps
At the moment I'm undecided on whether to loop my existing rack or replace it with a DCI option and the decision is down to cost effectiveness.
If I were to loop the rack I'd want to do it for under £25 but would need the tools, pipe, unions and blanking plugs. Any recommendations...
First one of the year chaps. Would be good to see a fair few of us down there if any of you can make it.
For those who haven't ventured to Brands before it's less than 5 minutes away from the Wrotham junction of the M20.

It's only a half cage. Someone told me that if I had a cage they wouldn't let me on. Even though it's my first proper track day. I'm looking to give a £100 evening session at Brands a go shortly.
Of course I can give them a call but just happen to be wondering now when they're closed.
Cheers
G
That's my question. I have a 3 point harness and harness bar on the cage. Can I only mount 4+ point harnesses to a bar or am I inventing a problem here.
Just in case the new owner of this joins up.
I enquired about this one on ebay recently and was told the belts were last done in 2008 so they currently sit 2 years over due. Dephaser hasn't been done either. Work done at Renault was due to a starting fault.
Hope it didn't go boom on the way home!
FINALLY! I've seriously missed having a car with speed since I broke my 182 in December 2013 and having built up a little bit of money over summer I decided it was time to take the plunge and get something for the track. I was looking for a 182 or 172 cup and after posting a wanted add @FLOBALOB...
So car has now been purchased. Before I do anything I want to get a cage. I'm not going full cage because the cost is just vast.
I've been eyeing these up for years now and just wondered if anyone had any experience with them.
How easy are these to fit, quality, weight?
At under £200 it looks...
Hoping to get a track car soon. Thought this would be the place to post but also for people to get ideas from in the future. I want to do track days as cheap as possible and do a few mods to make a car better. By cheap I mean less than £100
Enlighten me on what's good these days. I haven't had...
Firstly it's a DCi, not in the title to lure you petrol turbo people in too! It's almost the same thing ;)
Since I've had the car the coil light has always come on when flat out on the motorway. I fitted a boost guage a couple of days ago and have now been able to witness what happens. Always...
Will be fitting a boost gauge to the clio to monitor levels when I install a boost controller. Just want somewhere to mount it where it doesn't look stupid, doesn't require fibreglassing and is still easy to look at. I'm not keen on having it on the pillar.
Thank you everyone
Well that's what I can see from the pictures

I've finally got a set of Turinis for the Clio. Currently they're silver, couple have paint flaking. I'm looking to spray them all anthracite and am considering 2 routes of home refurb.
I've got p38 and some Metalik filler for the curbing marks and can get all the sand paper I need.
Do I go...
Recently been having a rather annoying problem.
When I brake my steering wheel goes right a bit and the car feels unstable. When I take my foot off the brake the steering wheel goes back left again to where it was before.
Track rods and all suspension is all new. Haven't hit any curbs

Morning chaps
I'm just about to buy a scrap worthy dci 80. Wondered what's required from it to make my 65 into the 80 bhp.
List so far is ECU kit,
Intercooler set up (already fitted to my car)
Turbo
Injectors
I noticed the 80 uses a different map sensor but don't know it this needs to be...
