Had this a few times now, every so many months my engine managment light will come and when reading the codes with the RS Tuner, the only fault it brings up is a shift light fault? I clear it and then its fine for a few more months, then it re-appears.
Anyone else had this, and anyone know...

Was gonna change my front discs and pads yesterday as I have nice shiney Brembo HCs and Brembo pads waiting to be fitted, but when trying to remove one of the wheel bolts it was really hard work. Knew straight away it was cross threaded and it probably happened a year ago when I had my tyres...

Well my 172 is making the dreaded noisy diesel sound. My first thoughts were obviously dephaser pulley but after reading up on here I'm not so sure now. is it possible that a lifter has gone? The annoying 'tick' is there throughout the Rev range, whereas am I right in thinking with the dephaser...
Just about to change the oil on my 172 and wondered should I flush the engine inbetween oils? Also think I got a noisy lifter so is it worth putting some of that sticky lifter treatment stuff in?

well after lurking here in the darkness for a few years now, i've finally brought a 172....picked up a black 53 plater on 80k today, needs a bit of work on it to make it mint but it'll get there.....i hope!

right, my m8 has a 51 plate dynamique 1.2 16v. he already has a induction kit and kec relocation pipe and also a powerflow cat bak system. he is now lookin to get it chipped and he needs to kno a few things. do they just reprogram the ECU or do they actually put a chip in and does it affect...

my m8 says that if he takes the battery off on his mk3 clio then the ecu will lose all its programin and the car wont start and it will need goin back to renault, i think it sounds a bit stupid but is he right?
