The silver one went scrap on monday so im down to 3 now! but i have just won a mk2 ph1 on ebay so will be 4 on again on sunday

One day i might put an engine in this car and leave it in there!
Any how, as a couple of people already know i recently bought this

Plans for the 172 are unclear at the moment, unfortunatly it isn't worth much without an engine, i do have a spare...
I took my engine out this morning and checked clearence for my new rad, unfortunatly its a bit to wide, now ive seen someone else cut a bit of the subrame to fit a 172 rad, bit i believe this is a tad wider than that,
What are people's opionings on cutting a section off to fit the rad?
I have Russ's itb's ph1 172 running standard ecu, however im going to go stand alone onit, what shall i do about brake servo? this is what is currently tapped into the manifold, is there anyway of utilising this? or would have to take the manifold off and get something bigger tapped in?
I dropped the engine from my ph2 today, unlike the mk1's which have 2 plugs to disconect the engine loom from teh car this had one big plug, but it was also wired in witht he headlights e.t.c so i took it out with all the wireing attached, this isnt a problem.
However when i take the engine...
Going to be deoing this conversion soon, ive noticed on the ph1 172 fuel rail there is no pressure regulator and just one fuel line going to it, where as on my mk1 there is 2 lines and a pressure regulator, how do i over come this when doing the conversion?
As i strip it i will be putting bits on ebay, today i did alot of the interior

With the 172 being parked up for good tommorrow i needed something to use for a while, this came up so i bought it, its pretty standard bar momo wheel and welded diff, Trip to the scrap yard tommorrow will hopefully see me getting the indicator lense and orange reflector to tidy it up a bit...
