For anyone searching and finding this thread there is a guide here on clutch removal and refitting
20nm on pressure plate and 44 on bell housing by the look of it?
Can someone confirm this is correct

Says it all.. Square bearings everywhere!
What do people reckon
My mate has another bust box with an intact housing what's the chances my box with a new housing is repairable?
Or do I just buy a second hand working box and have it reconditioned?
I've managed to crack my casing apart about...
Does anyone know what torque settings should be used on the pressure plate and box bell housing?
I'm fitting my new clutch tomorrow before my box goes off to agency
Any box related torque figures you can think of will be useful :)
arrived at TDF in the morning had a cuppa with the guys and they dropped us back up to the travel lodge
leaving all the bits etc with them.. :P
spent most of the day in the pub down in a local town in a beer garden as you can see from the pictures attached above!!!!! :)
next day all done...
This is home at the moment whilst the car is at TDF getting the cams in and mapping tomorrow!
Plastered is an understatement ! 4 good mates and a lock in after making friends with the bar staff
Just lost a game of pool so tequila slammers on us ...Not good!
don't know if you got my comment on the other thread, I would change it anyway for peace of mind if it has done that milage with a hard life lol!
if you want to know the correct oil for it i would suggest www.opieoils.co.uk there is a search bit on there or contact ''oilman'' who works for opie...
haha dont worry about it pal was only joking :)
i would just change it for peace of mind specially if its done 100k.. then you know its been done and its not that hard/expensive to do but i wouldn't stress about it :)
Parts box complete :) 438 cams and seals Fuchs engine and box oil clutch clutch cable and oil filter
Oh and the awkward moment when this happens
Grrr!! my brand new pipercross filter fell into a tub of old oil Ffs!
joking aside... not too sure mate! might be worth making a thread in the servicing area :) i think you're good for something daft like 70k on the box oil but tbf i personally would change it periodically but thats me maybe every 20k or something?
yeah probably a good idea.. whilst they're there its not much effort to whip the sump plug out and chuck the new oil in :) probably me just being impatient wanting to get it done :P
cheers fred :)
when you say the damage is done do you mean the dephaser? the only thing i was thinking was running the new cams on 'dirty' oil.. when i say dirty its actually pretty clean but you know what I mean
Spent a while messing with the clio yesterday took my fog lights apart and resealed them which seems to have worked and fitted some new brighter LED bulbs.. No more fish bowl!
Waxoyled the whole underside of the car.. And sprayed the crash bars etc up Matt black too.. Keeps it all looking...
this is probably a daft question.. but i'm going to ask it anyway!
I have some new oil.. some fuchs super syn stuff as its on offer from opie oils at the moment.. new filter etc everything to do a service on it..its about due its 6-7monthly regular change..
will be getting my 438 cams fitted...
my drivers side fog light seems to have turned itself into a fishbowl :dapprove:
so going to take that out today, dry it out, seal it up and fit some new LED bulbs in there :D
