So, last night the Trophy got its bi-annual clean purely as Ollie got so fed up with it looking rank that I got ordered over to the bodyshop for a spruce up. Needless to say, as we are all keen detailers, we thought we should document the process we used so that others...
Have now refitted a standard 182 airbag wheel & 172 interior to the Trophy and the sodding SERV & AIRBAG lights wont go out.
Put the resisters in under the seats as per Boosh's guide, but still no joy
Seemed that the rear seatbelts had a wire attached to them as well, but had no idea where to...
Currently the M3 has gangsta window tints. Now, as im not a small time Asian drug dealer, i would like to remove them ...
As such, i have purchased the following:
Tardis tar remover stuff
Acetone Nail Polish Remover
A window cleaner razor blade thingy
0000 Wire wool
Is there anything i will...
:race:
Well, after wanting one for the past 8 years (2 of my mates at uni had them) & essentially saying 'M3' on here for the past few months, i finally manned up & bought one. Well, thats not strictly true as i wanted one before i went to Thailand, but couldnt find one that ticked all the...
Lets say i have accidently deleted 4GB of photos on my laptop, from a once in a lifetime holiday last month.
Is there any way of getting them back :dapprove:
Now, ill be honest, motorbikes have never really done anything for me tbh, dangerous things that Power Rangers hurtle around on.
Having watched this video, i now understand.
The buzz must simply be incredible, even watching the video i felt the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end :o...
ROFL at the prices in utter freefall:

Plenty around at less than £8k, but this is just daft ...
Basically i was going to sell the 320d & the Trophy, so test drove a few e46 M3's with a view to buying one. Now, here are the words that i never thought would exit my mouth.
Utter disappointment.
Nowhere near as raw as my old Z3M, quick, but no real feeling of speed, & certainly not as fun...
Any particular reason for this?
Surely you cant go wrong for £199 a month over 2 years :S
Army200

Wests Renault

Brown Bear (Soon)
Just seems a little odd to me.
Essentially, my CL pads are moving around within the calipers and rattling like buggery.
Do i need to find some shims for them? I had removed them for my DS2500's so assumed it would be the same for these!
Perhaps not?
Right ho, ladies & gentlemen, welcome to the 1st review of the FailSport Le Mans Tour 2011. I’ll attempt to keep it short & sweet, but will no doubt fail spectacularly, leading to a thread of waffle & bollox like usual.
I won’t include many pictures of the actual race, as quite frankly, my...
Found these on my pc at home recently, so thought i might as well share.
Bought in October 2005, & cost me just under £10k with 11k miles. Sold it 4 months later with 29k on it ... definitely not suitable for a Cheltenham to West London commute lol :o
Bloody brilliant car...
Im sorry, i normally wouldnt do this, but as a real Trophy owner.
WTF.

:dead:
Essentially, on Saturday, somebody parked their rather clean Trophy in our car park next to mine, Sarah noticed & said, 'that red clio's really nice'. After then explaining to her that it was a Trophy, just like mine, & that under all the dirt, they were both exactly the same colour ... i...
OKay, so its not specifically my 1st detail, as i've cleaned things properly before, but not since February 2009 (i got made redundant & had nothing better to do than add 4 layers of polish to my 328 Sport) & certainly never with a machine polisher!!
So, onto the victim/vehicle. Sarah's now...
What would need to be done for this to work exactly?
Can the actual suspension components be machined so that the different hub spacing can be accomodated?
For example, if you really wanted to fit Bilstein's, KW's, or FK Konigsports coilovers (normal 1*2 fitment only), to a Trophy...
Just pondering the next thing to buy for the Trophy really.
Will probably be doing another oil change before the next trackday, so thinking that whilst everything is apart, it might be worth bunging a Mocal Oil Cooler on there - anything to further helpthe car survive really.
Would get a...
Started 'whirring' from the alternator/pulleys area at Donington, no idea what im looking for so made some videos, which may help someone slightly more mechanically minded than me ...
At idle:

Being revved...
As above really, do Renault do this, like BMW do?
Need to find out whether my car definately had a cambelt service at 144k, as i cant find the receipt anywhere :(
Was done at a franchised dealer apparently.
Thanks to Focused Events as per usual ...
New suspension setup on the Trophy is fantastic, maybe not in the wet mind you, but when it dried out; lift, turn in, foot down, grin. Everytime. Great fun!!
No where near fast enough, but simply means i can drive flat out everywhere, which is...
