Really? (about the revving when cold) I have been trying to figure out what the issue is and chasing my tail lol. My car came with a RS tuner 98 RON map.
I have the scorpion decat on mine to match up to the RS192 system I have. No EML for me, but I think that has something to do with the RS Tuner remap, as the Lamda sensor is in there and plugged in without a spacer.
Clogged cat? The symptoms actually sound a lot like injectors. I think you can check them with a multimeter and see which one is different than the others, but Im not sure.
I was able to pull off the passenger side wiper without much effort today, so hopefully once my new pump comes in the drivers side pulls off as easily! I'm just going to order a new AC condenser (looks pretty beat up) and probably used pipes next month, replace it all so I know its good at that...
Pulled the bumper, disconnected the hoses, no washer fluid in either hose. Took the opportunity to replace one of the brittle hoses and attach the lower undertray properly to the bumper, also found out why my AC does not work, There is literally a hole in one of the pipes coming off the...
I would recommend getting a new cat fitting kit (genuine Renault only) and a new genuine olive clamp (and put a bead of black silicone around the joint too)
Here are the symtoms: lights on, regular jets work fine (front and rear) headlamp washers get nothing, no leaks, anything. I can hear the secondary pump noise after the main one. I have not pulled off the bumper yet, I am thinking there might have been blanks on there before the the previous...
That is what I assumed. The aux belt and tensioner sure does look nice and pretty still haha, and the receipt shows cambelt and dephaser, I am disappointed they did not do the water pump at the same time, but that was changed at the first belt change.
My belts were done in may and when I got the car the fuel rail cover was loose also and the plastic bits that hold the grill on were wedged on the side of the headlamp instead of in the holes haha. Did all the work then rushed to put it all back together.
Apex rides like there is no suspension on the car at all, painful on the kidneys! Sportlines ride like stock cup packed suspension, just lower. I think the Cooksports are lower than sportlines, but I could be wrong
How does this actually mount on the bumper end? I have it done up with the factory bolts on the subframe. Self tapping screws? Rivets? My new clio did not have any of the undertrays so I had to order them used. Unfortunately they did not come with any mounting hardware.
Mine definately idles at 1050 to 1100, and it went right past 7500 today on the way home so I am thinking I might have a different map than RS. Maybe I really do have the 197 cams in there haha.
Let us know. I have a annoying rev issue on mine when cold, the revs bounce like 3 times from idle up to about 1800rpm before settling. Does not happen when hot, I tried MAP sensor and cleaning throttle body so far.
Idle is a giveaway. I have a map on my car but I am in the same boat as you, I don't know by who or what brand. My hot idle is around 1050-1100, cold idle is around 1400-1500. Have not had a chance to test my limiter yet.
Decat will add a bit of performance if there is a remap, plus they sound good. but yeah you will eventually have to replace the clamp as it goes through heat cycles and bends.
Looks like it is at least a group III oil as the viscosity index is greater than 120 (172 actually) and it is listed as fully synthetic on the Elf website.
From what I have noticed, the 182's seem to have pretty much reached the bottom in price, with the nicer ones actually starting to sell for good prices. It helps that the ropey ones are starting to make their way to the breakers yards.
no, if all that work has been done and with the mileage its a £3000 car minimum. As it sits without doing the belts again, since they are still relatively fresh it would be £2700 minimum ,the car looks extremely tidy. For reference last summer I sold a 88k BG 182 that was coming due on belts...
Fitted a new genuine Renault cat fitting kit (front and rear) to my Scorpion Decat pipe. Seemed to quiet it down quite a bit and there is now not an obvious blow haha. Also fit a new MAP sensor but this one also fits in the manifold loosely, still cant figure that out.
I think the inner bolts are actually just gummed up with dirt and corrosion, I will have a better look at them tomorrow when I get under there to redo the decat gaskets/bolts
trying to lower the seats on my 182, but the nuts in the tunnel side just keep rotating, not getting any more lose, anyone ever have this problem? Outside bolts are no issue
