My mate just picked it up, Black Gold, has cliosport stickers on the back. Sitting on sportlines, poly bushings, port matched intake, ITG induction, scorpion catback (not sure which one, it has two separate mufflers) and a decat. Previous owner claimed 197 cams but we could not find the...
My 182 is 10x as reliable as my 2001 A3 1.8T. That thing was a shed and a half. All I have had to do to my 182 was the power steering pump due to it leaking when the car was in for a 36k and I had a spring break, but my friends 07 Fiesta ST had a spring break too, but his made the car...
all fine until you need to do the timing chain (probably needing it done already) at a cost of about £3000 or more.
RX7? great car WHEN IT RUNS (I have owned 2, the '85 I owned blew its apex seals on me on a road trip and I also had to put new engine in my Turbo II)
A boosted Clio would be...
Tightened up all the bolts/clamps on the exhaust, no more blowing mid-section now! And later on I might go ahead and paint up the fuel rail cover and that metal brace by the battery and ECU box, those are looking ratty.
I have apex springs on cup dampers, but am getting ready to ditch them for a pro-kit or even standard cup springs (if I can find them for a decent price) as the ride is a bit too harsh for daily driving on the local B roads
I paid 2900 a month and a half ago for almost the exact same except black, both cup packs and a 55 plate, so if from a dealer its probably ballpark, use the MOT coming up due as a bargaining chip, I got mine with MOT until March of 2016.
just picked up my Clio from Dan@SJM, running like a champ after a 36k service, Apex spring installation, power steering pump and thermostat/coolant change.
well today was a sad day, took it to Dan @SJM for a 36k service, thermostat and springs....went to drop off the springs and was met with the dreaded words "we have a problem" my power steering pump had been hemorrhaging fluid all over so now that is one more thing I need to replace. At least...
haha, this thread is depressing. I should have bargained for more out of my Fabia VRS when px ing for my 182 after reading this (basically saying my 182 is worth nothing close to what I paid for it)
Ditchfinders will turn any good handling car to crap. Only minor complaints I have about my clio are the strange driving position (which I got used to quickly) and the fit and finish of the interior is just not up to the standards of the German cars I have owned (to be accepted and I don't...
a lot of people on PH bash the 172/182, no love for them on this thread: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=23&t=1500998&mid=427270&nmt=Blasphemy%21%3A++Revered+driver%27s+cars+that+you+just+don%27t+get%2E
Yeah the Fabia was solid, but just could not get on with driving a Diesel. The Hyundai is a beast, but will not get drove very much due to its immense thirst for Petrol, extremely high insurance rate and its very wide/low to be driving on the B roads I have to take to work, it will mainly be a...
Fabia:
Mine was stock besides tyres/alloys
"feels" as quick as the 182 due to the amount of torque available right off idle, but you have to shift so much more and does not like to be revved out.
Build quality is better
white seats stain easily
cluch, steering and shifter action are all light...
Thanks. Here is a pic of the VRS I just PX'd for my 182. Also a pic of my "other" car that I just imported into the UK, still waiting on my V5 actually, just completed the lighting conversion and MOT to make it legal. Its a 2013 Hyundai Genesis 3.8GT coupe, 348BHP, rear wheel drive, 8spd...
Just swapped a Fabia VRS for a 182 down in Newton Abbot, reg is WR55 LFZ, has cliosport decal on rear window along with a CS14 Saturday decal! Have not been able to drive it much yet (besides the 2 hour drive home) but am liking it so far!
