It’s 100% clütch.
Revs are directly linked to a particular speed so if your revs are shooting up and you’re not doing 150mph then your clutch is slipping.
Bing's attempt at matching ChatGPT leaked the other day. Looks as impressive if not better than ChatGPT as it can search the web.
I think it should start at the right time but otherwise it's at 41 minutes 37 seconds onwards.
Really quite impressive how it can understand not just what was said...
PCARS2 feels great as long as you don’t go past the limit of traction, it’s one of the better games in that area of physics, but it also flatters you as a driver a bit IMO. It’s a bit easy.
I used to do endurance racing in PCARS2 and about the only time I’d ever have a moment was if I got...
Realised why I might be stuttering a bit in DCS with texture loading etc.
Currently rocking 32gb of ram, which I knew was a bit borderline at 4k, but completely didn’t twig that it was only 2666mhz. With a Ryzen 5800x and 3070 that’s what you might call a bottleneck 😂
Ordered 64gb of 3600mhz...
Some absolutely fantastic long format interviews coming from Jayemm lately:
Stories about the car industry and quality control, with some good, and some bad!
Starting off as a farmer, and then going on to buy MOT write off supercars which ultimately led to Ferraris, GT40s and beyond
Huge...
Jayemm did a video on the subject. Basically the high quality or long form/complex content doesn’t draw enough views to cover the cost of making it. When he or Metcalfe etc make a big video with a complex shoot it simply doesn’t make money, they do it because either they can afford to take the...
Love a Monaro. Last event I raced the car ahead of me in the running order was a Monaro with a loud exhaust on it, was great fun sitting behind it launching off the line all day.
Getting some practice in with the Apache. I’m no Prince Harry, but I’m doing alright. PNVS is quite cool, transitioning from forward flight to a hover less so.
Skip to 13:50 if you just want to see stuff get shot at
So yeah, as expected they’re awesome. So much detail, fantastic to drive and the sound is biblical - and accurate to each car. Really awesome work.
And it just gets better because RSS has just dropped this now!
To be fair, you could pick up AC7 and be dogfighting far quicker than you could in DCS. It’s much more accessible.
Yeah his content is very good. I certainly can’t dogfight like that*
*at all
So.... bump.
It's awesome. I don't get a massive amount of time to fly in DCS these days but holy christ is it deep. I'd say I'm about 70% proficient on the F-16, 50% on the F/A-18, 50% on the A-10C, 80% on the Spitfire (well, there's a lot less to learn, lol), 30% on the F-14. I can cold start...
With, at a guess, about 200bhp.
i.e. double the power of a normal Panda. And buckets, and a cage. Looked like a right little fun thing to drive on track.
If I were to go for a new headset, I’d go for either the HP Reverb G2 (on sale now!) or the Pimax 8K. Reverb G2 has great image but a very tight tolerance for blurriness and field of view is a bit small. Pimax 8K has massssive field of view and good detail but more expensive and needs base stations.
