might get away with it on a diesel tho. direct injection with forced air.
not indirect with fuel air mixing in the inlet.
wrong or not? i havent a clue when it comes to porting lol
your not hitting it hard enough. get a good swing at it ;)
warning- i am not responsible for any damage done to you or your car, do so at your own risk ... or lack of :p )
Ooooo, love abit of porting . Would love to do something like that but I don't want to scrap my spare dci head up :(
remember seeing Someone on TDOCUK, do an xud9 head way overboard to the point the inlets looked like chrome lol
mine jingled for abit, then stopped. started eating belts ( well making the squeak ) which we know is improper alignment or tension.
had a new tensioner kit fitted when i swapped engines. so i know it wasnt that. by chance found play in the pulley.
you got lucky tho. having seen what a dci...
yup ive ran liquid molly through loads of mondeo's at work. the little inline filter used to turn black lol
ran it through mine last year, naff all came through it as i have cleaned the system out after fuel pump failure.
now i run twostroke low ash mineral oil through my tanks to help lube...
Yeah his is the same as my clone lol
joe- Get some wurths (sp) or liquid Molly diesel cleaner as run that through before changing the filter.
Search liquid molly 1.5dci on YouTube
will do a world of good :)
It's plastic. Just take apart , clean , put back together. BUT ! I would leave it if you dci is running fine. The lock ring on the sender unit can be a b*****d to seal properly again
Dci's have a little air in the fuel system.
Not allot, a few in the return from pump but that's it!
Fuel pipes have little rubber o'rings in , they are common to go at the fuel filter point.
And return ( leak offs ) from injectors
last but not least, fuel strainer in the tank. It gets...
Don't forget tom, your running stupid power which will kill a jc5
those 02M boxes take allot , seen a few crazy PD's running 500+NM without failure. Boxes need overfilling abit to help lube third gear as it only gets splashed
Standard jc5 boxes are strong enough if treated properly.
people run them on boosted clios without problems ( generally a refresh is done for peace of mind )
LOL yes correct :o
though of using jubilee (sp) clips?
Ive wrapped a Mondeo tdci decat pipe up before and used jubi's to hold it all together :)
might be a bodged look but function over style down the back of the engine :)
give us the serial numbers off it, ive got a clone aswell. mine works fine.
theres two types of clones on ebay, hard to tell the difference , but one is really cheap components inside and is , frankly, crap lol
have you properly cleaned out the engine bay box?
first time i did it, i only cleaned a little , did nothing.
second time round, cleaned every contact that i could, all the big fuses, the white R connect at the bottom.
first turn of the key after locking/unlocking the car. red imob went out...

Yup it's defo the engine bay box that's caulsing the solid red imob!
Mines running perfect now that I've cleaned all the s**t out of the electrics
big white connector at the bottom being the worst to get at as it gets covered I s**te !
Jonny, be carefull driving it around in limp, drive it...
